Just had a look on ticket site,on course for a healthy 30000+ crowd👏
Don't let anybody tell you that the price of single-match tickets is not a factor.

Look at this match.
A night match.
Televised as the main match on Sky.
But
We give a healthy discount and what happens ?
A near-capacity crowd despite the above drawbacks.

Sheffield is not a wealthy city and to pull in good crowds against the TV , we have to recognise that in our prices , at least occasionally.
I hope the new owners take note.

Ps - as a Kop ST holder , I will never have a complaint against such discounts , because I want my club to grow its attendances and :
1. Improve the atmosphere
2. Strengthen its future

Listen, Frank Lampard's In Form Coventry City are a top top football team. They have incredible football players right the way through and Frank is already manager of the season for me, he's just great in every way. I desperately hope we can somehow squeeze a win from this and cement ourselves in the top 2 because the prospect of facing Frank Lampard's In Form Coventry City in the play offs terrifies me and has already given me sleepless nights

This gets funnier every time

My first jaunt down to BDTBL since the WBA/PNE double header that secured promotion under Hecky. Haven't made it to a home game since for a number of reasons. Very pleased to finally be getting back down to cheer the lads on.

I never expected to be saying this, but I think "Frank Lampard's Coventry City" will be the most dangerous opponent we face for the rest of the season. They're playing in a manner that really encourages goals, and we've lost some of the defensive prowess we had until Souttar got injured at Christmas. So I feel like we cannot afford to try and play this "we'll score once and shut you out" method that has proven so effective thus far, as they will almost certainly score at some stage. We need to take the game by the scruff of the neck, and go at it almost Kevin Keegan-like - something akin to a "we'll score more than you" philosophy. Otherwise, I can see this ending up in a similar fashion to the Leeds game, where we start brightly, gain an advantage, and then run out of steam towards the end and get caught out.

Hopefully, we'll have Vini available after his injury. He seemed pretty mobile out on the pitch at Hillsbrough after the derby, so here's hoping he'll be ready to play. I though Hamza did fine against the worst day of the week, but I'd really prefer Souza on Friday, as Coventry concern me far more as an offensive threat.

Don't think I'd tinker with the front line much. Keep the same personnel, but make sure Hamer is the #10, with BBD and Brewdog the 2 wide threats. Hamer was at his best against the filth when he had the chance to carry the ball centrally, so putting him there again seems a sensible choice. Brewster was excellent in the derby, and scored the winner, so deserves to keep his place. BBD wasn't outstanding, but didn't do anything wrong to warrant dropping him. I could though see an argument for bringing in JRS, and I wouldn't complain if we did.

This needs to be treated as the beginning of the end (of the season). We absolutely have to start this run of games in a positive manner. Burnley are breathing down our necks, and we don't want to give Leeds an easy ride - the more pressure we put on them, the more likely they are to break under the strain (as we've seen before). We have a run of more favourable games after this as we head towards Easter - start on the front foot, and we can lay down the gauntlet to our nearest rivals.

Ref will be watching Robbo like a Skegness shite hawk.

Wait until we’re 3-0 up and give him a reducer then
Could start the game as a tactical move to bait our players into getting red-carded.
Wilder will definitely be cautioning the players to show restraint.
Tough ask as the guy's demeanour makes you want to punch his lights out.
UTB !!!

Oh he’ll shithouse his tits off, and I fear robbo will rise to it

To me this is the most important game we have, an inform team with a bit of a thing for us, hope we play aggresive front foot football and go out to blitz them early and then not let up. A win would pile the pressure on leeds and burnley anything else they gain confidence

Don’t worry about Coventry they have many more reasons to worry about us
No disrespect meant but we don't have a lot to worry about. Draw maximum expectation from this game. We're only after a playoff place. We should be good enough to finish 5th whatever happens in our next 2 games.

Can't see Leeds not making top 2 with their remaining games. They deserve another season in the Championship if they don't. So our next 2 games are against the sides that I think 1 will be favourites for the playoffs and the other goes up with Leeds. Will be a chance to test for weaknesses.

The result is very important for yourselves though.

Eh? You’ve not secured top 6 yet… you’ve got plenty to play for. Pressures equally on you as it is on us.

Oh you have pressure on you too

Just counted up and as at 8.40am Thursday morning there are 353 tickets left.

South stand SOLD OUT
BLUT 26 tickets left
BLUT corner stand 1 ticket left
John Street stand 5 tickets left
Kop corner 1 ticket left
Kop 320 tickets left

So I estimate we’ve sold 30,700 so far…..the final attendance will end up around 31K.

I think the Coventry fan is right regards the pressure is more on us than Cov because there’s 8 games left.

If we want to finish top 2 we probably need to win 6 of the remaining 8.
The reason is because the way things are going……Leeds and Burnley are likely to win the vast majority of their remaining matches.

However realistically Coventry only need to win 4 out of their remaining 8 to secure a place in the play-offs.
The reason is because the play-off chasing teams have all been quite inconsistent.

Basically if Cov lose their next 2, to us and Burnley they will probably drop out of the top 6 but will still have a great chance to qualify for the play-offs.
Where as if we lose our next 2, we’re in big trouble and you can bet many of our fans will say we’ve blown it.

However our players have shown great mental strength this season and pressure games don’t seem to effect them.

You need to win to keep the pressure up on Leeds and Burnley. We're 2 points ahead of 6th. Bristol City are away to Burnley and have a difficult run in.

Before our last game we had a run of 3 games against teams in the top 4. I would have settled for 3 points. We got 3 points from the first game. Of course it would be nice to get a point or 3 from our game but unless Bristol City win at Burnley we will still be in the top 6. I fancy our chances to get something from our game at home to Burnley next week. We also have Bristol City v WBA coming up.

Worry was when Lampard took over and we were just above the relegation zone. Anything that happens this season is a bonus.
