Their best midfielder and only defender who can head a ball aren't available and we finished 20 plus points ahead of them, it should be over.

Nil nil at half time would be a cowardly result. Play our strongest side, Moore and Campbell up front and blow them away in the first half then give our best players a rest for the 2nd
it should be over. but this is about going getting to wembley. but as we've seen on many occasions. football isnt played on paper.

They've got to go for it tonight and missing two of their integral players after thursday on top of an already long injury list. It will be nothing like that last time at the lane as they cannot field that team.

Wouldn't wanna see many changes tonight from last week. Consistency is key.

What would you go with?

Isn't that pretty much the team that played the last fame at the lane and we couldn't get the ball off them ?

If Hamers fit he plays for me hes our heartbeat and our figurehead. get a goal in the first half tonight, take sting out of the game and sub him early 2nd half.

I don't think Robinson is being picked over Holding. I think the trouble is Holdings not fit.

It's clear he's better ball playing cb than robinson, but we tried fannying around again and getting Jimmy Dunne on the cheap in january and QPR didnt fall for it so we ended up having to go for Holding even though we knew he wouldnt come in and play back to back games.

Holding should pair with Anel for the last 30mins tonight and if we go through the final but i also wouldn't be surprised if we stick with Robinson. Makes it difficult when your not just dropping the CB your dropping the captain.

Nice to have Seriki back. He's a nightmare for LB's when he comes on agains tired legs in the second half!

Another bet wetting session should commence around 7.02pm when the team sheet is released 😳

I'm going for:

Cooper

Choudhury Anel Robbo Burrows

Souza

Peck

Brewster O'Hare Hamer

Campbell

Just need a solid back 4/5
As they have to ‘go for it’
So let them have a go at us then use our our pace down the sides to add to our goal tally
When we score their heads will drop , then it’ll be open season for us.
4-0
UTB

Cannon starts, Cambell gets 20 mins. Start Rak, Brooks or BBD for minutes in legs

----------------------Cooper-----------
--Gilchrist--Anel--Holding--JLT--Burrows
---Peck---Souza---Choudhury---McCallum
---------------------Moore

Keep it tight
That would be that absolute perfect line up for Bristol City to see. No attacking flair and and invitation for them to simply attack for the whole game.

Each to their own but that would be absolutely playing into their hands.

I'm not sure he will play campell so soon after the last game
Hope he does like
I think he’ll keep Cannon involved and play him alongside Moore where he looked far better. Why risk Campbell? Short cameo. Need to manage his injury sensitivity such that we have the same clean bill of health excluding Arblaster and RND that we have at the moment. Minimal changes then early subs to see it out.

Some early subs for Hamer and whoever plays wide. Could do Brooks and Rak-Sakyi and Hamer and BBD, Brewster and O’Hare on for Moore and Cannon and not even risk Campbell if JRS going well.

If Seriki is fit, I’m not sure if even risk him.

66/1 for Bristol City to progress... fiver returns over £300. Easy insurance bet

We should be ensuring we are set up to exploit the fact that they will need to be on the front foot from the start, if they're to have any chance of progressing. So a style of play akin to that we employed at home to Coventry and Middlesbrough would be perfect. Really take advantage of the space they will leave in defence as they push forward.

Cooper

Hamza
Anel
JLT
Burrows

Vini
Peck

Brewster
BBD
Hamer

Moore

I'd just bring BBD in for Ty. No need to risk him as he's a frail lad at the best of times, and BBD is fully capable of making the runs in behind that would really take advantage of their predicament. If/when they slow down, we have the likes of Tom D, Brooks, JRS, to be patient and probe at them like we did vs 10 men on Thursday. There's valid reasons to look at Holding over JLT, but strangely in this scenario, I think Robinson being prepared to look further upfield for a pass than Holding is likely to be, given his extended tenure with Arsenal (including under Wenger), would actually suit us better as we can look to play a bit of "hoofball" so to speak.

Make sure we are ready for the ball to move forward at pace, whenever we regain possession. Put their defence under pressure, likely to make mistakes, and be ready to maximise those mistakes to our benefit. Doesn't need to be pretty tonight - just needs to be effective.

Brooks T Davies Souza Hamer

Cannon Moore

They’ve got loads of their best players out and won’t have much height in their team, Moore needs to start and just bombard them with corners and set pieces

My ha'penny opinion.. I'd personally go very similar to the first leg, but put Holding in for Robbo as a starter and if CW sticks with two upfront, I'd put Cannon in with Kiefer.

Here's my thinking, Bristol C. have to come tearing at us from the start and Holding, with his experience and cool head, I think will be able to handle the pressure and organise the defence better. It also means more minutes for him.

Cannon and Moore seemed to work together quite well a while back, and if we are under pressure for the first 20 minutes or even the first half I could see a few chances for us with the old school long ball out of defence a good ol' badoink of a header onto Cannon and who knows.. and no harm to give Campbell a rest and keep him fit for a possible final??

Weather the storm, break their spirit and then make the subs to get more minutes into more bodies.

They're going to have to attack the whole game anyway. But they wouldn't be able to get near our penalty area with that team.

I love a good defensive performance me

Bristol City are now 50-1 to get through. So about a 2% chance.

By comparison, we were 35-1 to win at Man City last season

I would change it round a bit:

---------------------Cooper
---Gilchrist-------Anel------Holding-----Burrows
------------------Souza-----Choudhury
JRS-------------------------------------------BBD
-------------One------------Cannon

Give minutes to Gilchrist, Holding, JRS, BBD and One.

Play on the counter to an extend. Defend as a 6 and break at speed.

Bring T Davies on early second half. Give minutes off the bench to McCallum, Brooks, Shackleton
That’s nuts. It’s far from a done deal.

Pretty much my view. A sending off would give them a sniff and Robbo is the only one likely to lose his rag. I honestly can't see them scoring three and having watched the first leg, I can't see their defence keeping a clean sheet either to be honest.

First 20 minutes is key. Also Wilder needs to tell the players to be extra careful not to be sent off.

At 3-0 the game is over and a non event.
You can bet any 50/50 decision penalty decision or red card incident will go in their favour….to make it more of a contest.

If we get past the first 20 minutes at 0-0 or if we go 1-0 up then the Bristol City players will lose belief and the match becomes far easier.
I’m confident Wilder will have the players psyched up telling them the tie is not over yet….and we’ll need to work hard and be focussed.
I expect us to rest Hamer and Campbell….have them on the subs bench.

Don’t expect tonight to be pretty….think we’ll probably lose by 1 goal and maybe draw…..2nd half might be a non event with neither team fully trying.

If we don’t get through we want shafting
