For the right to play plain old Sunderland or Media Darling Frank Lumpards Coventry City.

We need to keep the ball and take the sting out of the game. A goal for us kills it.

Cooper
Choudhury Anel Holding Burrows
T. Davies Peck
Brooks O’Hare BBD
Campbell

Cooper
Gilchrist Anel Holding Burrows
Souza Peck
Brooks O'Hare Hamer
Moore

Let's not fuck about but let's also look to protect Souza and Hamer as soon as it's safe to do so

I would change it round a bit:

---------------------Cooper
---Gilchrist-------Anel------Holding-----Burrows
------------------Souza-----Choudhury
JRS-------------------------------------------BBD
-------------One------------Cannon

Give minutes to Gilchrist, Holding, JRS, BBD and One.

Play on the counter to an extend. Defend as a 6 and break at speed.

Bring T Davies on early second half. Give minutes off the bench to McCallum, Brooks, Shackleton

We (players AND fans) should not approach this as simply a matter of ceremony.

A three goal deficit is not completely impossible to come back from. We need to be alert to the glaringly obvious fact that BC will need to come flying out of the traps to give themselves a chance. And we won't have the luxury of playing against 10 men to simplify our task.

I could see us starting the same side as we did on Thursday. The CBs were comfortable all night, and the only threat they showed was one shot against the bar, one routine Cooper save immediately after 2-0, and some possession in our defensive 3rd (before the red card in particular). I think everyone delivered a competent performance that started the game. Maybe O'Hare in for Campbell - no need to force Ty to play again so soon when we've got options to replace him.

Couldn't agree more with the first two paragraphs above. There have been many examples of three goal deficits being made up and if they went one goal up we would start to get nervous and play accordingly. We definitely don't want a penalty shoot out.
I would keep the same starting eleven except Holding for JLT. Bring on O'Hare and Tom Davies second half.

I think the pressure got to them the other night and I think they will frustrate is more than Friday

Still expect us to pick them off though as I don't think they are very good
Id play similar team and system to the other night as I don't think they can deal with it

If Hull can score 3 against us, so can they

It's only half time, as they say, if we got 3 they could in the second leg, I'd go with
Cooper
Choudhury, Anel, Holding, Burrows
Peck, Souza
Brooks, OHare, Hamer
Campbell

After that twat took out Moore at the end, I can see them trying to wind up some of our players. Try to get an early yellow or even a red. After all we do have a reputation for being erm, overly enthusiastic in the handbags department.

Minimal changes, if any.

Possibly Holding for one of the centre backs.

Maybe Cannon for Campbell; it’s a short turnaround and we don’t want to lose him for the final.

Maybe start Davies to get him some more minutes.

I wouldn’t do much beyond that but I’d use the subs sensibly depending on the state of the game. Ideally get Rak-Sakyi and Brereton-Diaz minutes as sub.

----------------------Cooper-----------
--Gilchrist--Anel--Holding--JLT--Burrows
---Peck---Souza---Choudhury---McCallum
---------------------Moore

Keep it tight

The difference between Hull and tomorrow night is that we don’t need to chase the game should we concede.

No chance Hull would’ve scored 3 goals if it was a 2nd leg and we started 3-0 up on aggregate.
I think our wafer thin squad had hit the wall when Hull visited. We had one fit central midfielder (Peck) !

That was the game when the summer transfer window approach chickens came home to roost

We will bottle it. Robinson/Anel will be sent off. It will go to penalties. We will lose. I don’t want to witness any more play off and other misery as I have done for 65 years. I hope all you wonderful shiny happy optimistic people enjoy it and feel free to criticise and slag off supporters who were there decades before you in the really dark days.

i dont want to be too pessimistic, but even though everyone outside the club will think that we are all but at wembley. but wilder is right to say this is by no means over. we only have to talk to our Left back who was apart of the Peterborough team who lost a 4 goal defiect to our neighbours & we can look at ourselves as werent were 5-1 down on aggregate away to swindon & swindon had very nervy night only winning 7-6

if bristol city who will likely chucked the kitchen sink at us 1st 15 minutes. if they get an early goal. things could get very nervy. 0-0 at half time would be a great result
