Thoroughly enjoyed the game. Brilliant performances all round.
I wonder what the Semi final ticket allocation will be? With us only having <20k home fans in the ground today, I'd like to see the club rewarding them with 1st priority. I've seen that the allocation will be split so approx 30k each.

The natural/unnatural position stuff is a complete load of bollocks.

It shouldn't make any difference to whether something is handball or not.
Where in the rules does it say you can be booked but not sent off for a handball offence which prevents a goal ?
Isn't it a red card offence ?
Totally confused and I reckon so was the ref

Just completed a 4 hour drive to Brighton after lunch after that epic.

Firstly well done to Blackburn who more than played their role in creating an absolutely fantastic cup 1/4 final.

Wow that game certainly had a bit of everything and for my 6 year old son who is just falling in love with football it was amazing 🤩

Proper team effort all playing together and for each other and the fans. We need that consistently now moving forward.

Doyle is just class even without the goal he bossed midfield throughout and is such an improvement on Norwood.

Illy best player on the pitch by a mile what he can do is simply uncoachable.

My only gripes are again Lowe who looked a liability all game despite his involvement in the first goal and our reluctance to shoot when in great positions.

Other than that - what a day to be a blade! Well done lads

Radio Sheffield comms reckoned he went for his pocket for the yellow then realised who it was.

He did shape to, then stopped… I said to the lads behind that he’d seen who it was and bottled it as he knew VAR would intervene shortly if they had any excuse to send him.

No idea. He should have given a red, think he bottled it as don't think he was convinced on the penalty. He did a halfway house approach!
I agree - I don't think the rules have been thought through.
In fairness the rules should address the difference between a deliberate handball and a modern "technical" handball which is one without intent.
Today's by Robbo was a technical handball and he shouldn't have been booked.
Ref realised this which is why he didn't give him a second booking for the studs up challenge a bit later on.
I hope the rules get reviewed.
We seem to be in danger of having 3 categories of potential handball
1. Deliberate handball - red card if prevents goal or clear goalscoring opportunity.
2. Technical handball - ball to hand , but hand in unnatural position (though not adjudged to be deliberate).
3. Handball which is not handball - ball to hand but hand in natural position.
In each case "hand" means hand or arm.

Sheff Utd are the team I’d like up alongside “already” promoted Burnley, just sorry we (Preston) couldn’t help you out yesterday against Boro.

Big congrats to you all for today. Really enjoyed the game and the right result. Pretty even match and justice was done with the play acting and looking for a free kick costing them at the end. Some goal to win the game, I would love just one big moment like that, best I’ve had is a league 1 play off win. Savour it, I think there could be some absentees from work tomorrow 🍺

See you in a months time 👍

Anyone seen a clip of that ridiculous bit of skill that Ndiaye did near the corner flag 2nd half?

He also didn't card JLT later, when it probably was. I think he wasn't convinced on the pen, and balanced it himself.
agree definetly a 2nd yellow for robbo with that tackle but yes i think the disputed penalty award saved him from walking ref did balance things up mcoist was adamant anyway that it wasnt a penalty

Brilliant bitterness on Blackburn forum. This one talking about the McAtee/Doyle thing:
“I'd also add it's their own fault for being too reliant on loanee's. Thankfully, we've gone the other way and, bar Morton & Thomas, the team which has got us to where we are is pretty much our own.”

So instead of us bloating our squad with two loanees, we should be like them, and restrict ourselves to, erm, two loanees!!
