Selles sacked

Well, I've had time to sleep on it for a couple of nights since Saturday's latest shit show, and reflect on whether my initial reaction to want him gone, is still what I think.

I can confirm that with a cool head and after reflection, I still want him sacked asap. You can argue players aren't doing it for him (shameful if they are phoning it in), and that hes not been backed in time, but....hes clearly not learning from his obvious mistakes already made and just keeps repeating the same ones. Even when things are clear as day to us idiot fans. Hes either too stubborn for his own good, or he's from another planet when it comes to basic football tactics. Hes supposed to be getting the most out of the personnel at his disposal and clearly he isnt doing that. Still needs to be given the boot pronto. Tis a shame as I hoped it would all fall into place for himand us (though like many i wasnt convinced when he was appointed), but he's made his bed, he's got to lie in it now.

I was about to ask whether there's any credence in this account!
Nope, but it’s a punt, in the likely hood it happens with his flexible time scale is pure guessing to get clicks and likes. Not even wasting my rocks, source “Understand” not even “I understand”.

Just type anything like……. Understand both Cooper and Dyche have been approached as a replacement for Sellés.

I recall seeing stuff from this nowdenblades twitter account before but can't remember if it was genuine or not. He's got 2600 following on twitter which sounds reasonable but I'm not expert in this.

I definitely still want him out, he's had four league games and we've been bobar in each one. If I could see progress then I'd give him longer but there is none. A crackers appointment even though I admit in the preseason the results looked promising and he seems a decent guy and I can see his logic on tactics but he's not implemented them at all; although I'm still not sure what vertical football means because to me that sounds like hoofing it directly above you to land back in the same spot!?

Realisticly for who the board will go for, I still think Danny Rohl is a really good option.
Why's that so funny Oohaah! Bob Bookah! ?! There's plenty worse options out there that will no doubt be mentioned! That's not why he should be considered btw.

But I do rate Rohl, most blades I've met do but now he's available some seem to have changed their mind but I still think he's definitely worth considering. That Wednesday team he got close to the play offs last season was average in the extreme! Gassama, Windass and Bannan are decent but every team even those relegated like Luton and Plymouth have some decent players.

The buck stops at him managing the pigs. That’s literally it for 99% of folks that don’t want him.

I really couldn't give two craps whether he's managed them or not. I heard very similar comments on Madine, Wilson, Clarke and all did well for us. It's not like Rohl is from Sheffield and a Wednesday fan like Jamie Vardy managing us!

Rohl has done nothing to warrent being considered for management at Utd
He's kept a team up that had about 5 points after 12 matches and then got them competing for the play offs with very little backing from Chansiri who as we know is a lunatic.

He's also been heavily involved in the German international team and you don't get that without having something about you. He wouldn't be my first choice but of those were likely to get I doubt there's many better. Some think O'Neil is a good shout but Wolves were dire under him for months and bottom of the league.

We'll not likely get Dyche or Cooper. At this point I'd say Rohl is coming very much into the equation.

Neither did Selles. The only thing you could argue is Rohl has had slightly more experience & success in this league.

I wouldn’t want him though personally, I don’t think it would be the right thing for Rohl to do either.

Danny Wilson was a hard one for us to accept and he’d been gone from them lot for years

I think it would be a good move for both personally. If Rohl comes and starts winning matches he's going to be popular with our fans. I dont think Rohl will get many better offers in terms of the quality of players we have at our disposal if we can actually play them in a coherent system and in their best position.

That’s the other way of looking at it 👍🏻

It’s just a risk we can’t take right now

Rohl’s greatest attribute was getting a lot out of a previously underperforming side. When he took over, they looked dead an buried, and he got more out of all the players to make them into a half decent team.

Whether Rohl or someone else, given the window is over and it seems like the manager will be playing cards dealt by the owners in terms of future signings, that’s what we need: Someone who’s a coach.

My mates in a golf group chat there’s a few ex pro’s in the group one who use to play for the blades once upon a time early to mid 90s and still gets bits of info through one way or another and he’s put in their group chat that Rohl is to come in I don’t know when if it’s this week or next week or maybe after Ipswich or after the next bad result but apparently rohl is the guy they want
The problem is that this set have largely been frozen out now that Wilder and his mates have left key positions. A lot of what’s coming out of they group is just agitation to try and get Wilder back in work and it’s pathetic.
