Nuno will get sacked from Forest soon, would he drop down a league?

Wouldn’t be surprised if Tony Mowbray’s name doesn’t pop up as well.

I don’t think he’ll go this early, as bad as its been. I know people are looking at the 2 week break as a good time for a switch, but dont forget theres also international breaks in October and November.

Taking the emotions out of it, I can see them thinking that with the new players just through the door and hopefully more to come by Monday, that its worth giving him a couple of weeks now to work with the squad, then theres 5 games before the October break. Maybe see how we are 3 or 4 games into that and if its no better, then it’s time to change. Also gives them plenty of time to sound out a replacement (and new names might be available by then as well).

Not saying I’d do that as such, but COH dont seem to do anything in a rush do they? Then again, we don’t really know anything about them, so nothing would surprise me.
We be too far off the pace come oct or Nov though!

This sums up why we're really fucked.

It's fucking 2025 not 1985. Only Sheff Utd have the manager as the fulcrum for transfers. Every other club in the top two divisions sign players independently of the manager/coaching staff.

Players sign knowing over the course of a 4 year contract they're likely to have two managers maybe even 3.

Only in S2 do we roll out he excuses of let him bring his own players in/they're not his signings. It's like we're stuck in a time warp.
Hence the reason that the vast majority of major clubs have a Director of Football and have had for years. We are definitely stuck in a time warp.

Listening to Ten Hag's sacking being discussed on the radio.

No criticism of the sacking as such, saying if they've realised quickly he's the wrong man it's the right decision etc etc.

Not convinced that would be the comments from them if we sacked Selles.

Id sack him first thing Tuesday morning.
I hope you're right but can't see him going just yet. I just think they'll give him 1/2 more matches to see how he does with new players from today and last week or two.

I'll start off with saying "I don't think Selles can continue and a change is needed" - However..

We aren't pressing like he wants us to, looking at pre-season and Bristol, we have abandoned our pressing and that is a huge part of the issue, I don't think Seles has instigated that and the midfield/attack are not playing together.

Barry/Brooks/One/Cannon are not supporting the fullbacks and that has been a major weakness.

Midfield - the three never seem close enough to each other or the ball, time and time again Barry/Brooks/Campbell got the ball and midfield were nowhere, this may be coaching/strategy but they just don't seem to be working together.

If/When he gets sacked the players need to look at themselves as well and realise whoever comes in will have a problem if they don't put the work in.

But if players aren't doing as he's told them, he needs to sub them or drop them. Send a message or, I don't know, man manage his squad.

That's what managing a team is about. Some get it, some you have to break it down and explain it slowly. You can't assume all assimilate information the same way.

To keep picking the same players in the same roles indicates he isn't telling them to press, or they're not listening to him but as he keeps picking them, they know there's no consequence. I'm not sure which is worse???

There's plenty who have commented on him getting booked for going batshit crazy about them not pressing, so it's not that one...

Thought his booking was very soft/ unlucky - think ref still thought it was Wilder as manager!! Seen a lot worse from other managers go unpunished. Only thing I’ll defend Selles on!

I would imagine he'll go this week or after defeat to Ipswich but do we really trust the board to get it right this time bearing in mind they thought sacking Wilder for Selles was the way to go?! Who's next?! Gareth Ainsworth?

Reminds me when the shortlist was Wally Downes, Rob Page or Keith Curle back in 2010 ish. We went for David Weir in the end!
