If we're considering Rohl we might as well consider Ainsworth as well.

Thoroughly dislikable, greasy, overrated, self-obsessed, horrible little shits!

Surely the board can't be this fucking stupid!

utb
I'd get behind any Blades manager, doesn't matter who they played for or managed.

But not that cunt.

Just had a Quick Look of who’s out there, wilder the obvious but.. cooper dyche gerrard Southgate O’Neil carrick rhol Rooney then a list of foreign managers such as hassenhuttle de zerbi Benitez vannistlerooy canavaro obviously I’m not saying any of these would come just a rough guide on who’s out there

Sorry, but I don't want a Sausage Rohl, Bog Rohl or any Rohl. He's not fit to lace Wilder's boots. I loved Wilder, but if pushed, I'd go for Cooper.
But if we can't get Cooper, Dyche or similar higher profile names then you're looking at managers who are in work or other managers in work. Maybe the board will go for say Mousinho from Portsmouth as an example but I'm not convinced they will because they could have got a decent coach in the summer and we went for an unproven manager who was out of work. We're now bottom of the league too
Just been sent a message saying he’s gone won’t be announced til after window my reply was surely it’s cooper ? the text back was Rohl or carrick ..
This is my point entirely! Within the realistic options the board have and their likely preferences were managers out of work it's likely to be Carrick, Rohl or O:Neil. Do people still not want Rohl out of those types of options?!

If we can't get Cooper then it's Wilder for me. Rohl has achieved a grand total of nothing in my book. Even if it is only until the end of the season.

I'd take Carrick. I thought his football was great the first year at Boro.
My mates who's a Boro fan said it was very defensive over his spell as a whole. He inherited a very good team from Wilder/Warnock era plus their exceptional youth system, and added to it with backing from Gibson they signed on loan Archer and Ramsey. Once they went out it was very defensive according to my smog mate. He's definitely less impressive than Rohl in my view.

Not sure how someone can have the inside track on him going but no idea whose coming in.

Matos said he spoke to him before signing, seems a bit short sighted by everyone involved if he was on the way out.

I would definitely have Wilder in the mix, but sadly it's not going to happen. Nor is Dyche or Cooper for various reasons, partly because I think the board want a young/sexy type manager who gives off this exciting and glitzy appeal. It might all be bollocks but within those parameters and likely someone out of work Rohl is your best option.

Matos could have spoken to him middle of last week , with a decision to change made after weekend . Maybe !!

Are they really set on downgrading their investment at all costs?

Why would you say Rohl is a better option than Carrick for example ? Not saying I would have Carrick as first choice but I really struggle to understand what people see in Rohl

My brother is a Wednesday season ticket holder and said the football Rohl served up was often pretty shite. Baffling team selections and weird substitutions.

Was really good in the first season but was unable to push on after that.

Budget wise they were in and around the play offs not massive underdogs like they want you to believe.

They had an awful home record last season, was it 3 home wins? He often had to change system at half time as he’d seemingly totally miss judged to opposition and then were against the odds to get back into games.

The also got smashed a fair few times.

I think he’s fairly over rated and has the reputation he’s got due to his pedigree and that first survival season but did nothing to justify his stock being so high last season.

I’m so disappointed with how it’s going with Selles. I was looking forward to a new style and culture but he just looks out of his depth and I don’t think Rohls all that much better. We need someone more established imo.

If Selles goes the last thing we need is an ex Pig manager. Imagine if he loses his first 3 games then what? Everyone calling for his head? I remember Danny Wilson when some of our support just wanted him to fail.

Given the Selles debacle it needs someone to steady the ship amd someone who fans will give time to which means either Dyche or Cooper for me

Why is Wilder the obvious one

I don't think Rohl was all that, didn't get them up the league. Piggy mates (beyond the ones just wanting to sing the song) weren't all that impressed in general.

He's League 1 and that's where he had his best period.

Hope we aim higher

He’s never managed in League 1.

Please God not Danny Rohl … just another experiment that will fail.
We need experience at the top of the Championship … Cooper or Dyche… Carrick if can’t get either.
I’d prefer to keep Selles than get Rohl !
Totally agree. I would be fine with Carrick. Rohl bored me to death and I was happy he managed that lot. Never understood what people saw in him.
