The issue is so much bigger than Selles. His staff are not up to standard so even if sacking Selles you have two guys with no experience taking over.

If Des has left that leaves one man with experience of making football decisions, which is Steve Bettis.

Who is going to interview a new manager and staff? Is this in the hands of Bettis because my guess would be the owners don’t have much knowledge of any manager we interview.

This is the guy who thinks he does a great job and there isn’t a need for a director of football.

Whoever the next manager is, it will be a punt due to the lack of experience left at the club.

To finish, the worst decision Selles made was letting Lester go. He needed that link to the players but even now they don’t have someone to go to for their frustrations due to them not respecting his coaching staff.

Alleluia someone on the same page as I've been saying for months. The club will not move forward whilst Bettis is running the show. He came out publicly against a Director of Football last year under the previous owner and we still don't have a DoF now under the new owners. With the new owners wanting a change of direction it was an ideal time to bring in an experienced DoF and put in a "modern" structure and clear strategies just like the vast majority of clubs in the UK and Europe have had for years. It's the old story of some people having power and not being able to relinquish any of it. Putting Bettis on the board has made his "power trip" even more powerful.

Campbell was poor you even admit that, so changing him for Cannon was the right decision. The fact Cannon never touched the ball after falling over in the penalty area is not Selles fault, Campbell was equally poor and doesn't look interested.

Bottom line though is he’s not addressed any of the weaknesses in the system . He’s Playing player out of position, a midfield which isn’t balanced and ignoring obvious solutions to that and as a result we can’t buy a result a goal and barely even a chance.

I don’t know, maybe brought Danny Ings on, there was only 25 mins, or so left. I’m sure he could have managed that and to that point, when he did eventually bring him on with 10 minutes left, he had more creative moments than Cannon has accrued in the entirety of last two games. He even managed a shot on goal!!!!

I will agree with you about Campbell though, he looks like a mardy kid whose been told he can’t have an ice cream, barely broke into a trot all game and was moving like he’d had every vertebrae in his lower spine fused together.

All very depressing when you think about our attacking options really.

campbell has shown no interest all season but do think hes frustrated at the lack of support i think a front 2 of him and ings could be very productive but first selles if hes here long enough has to admit hes got it wrong and change the system which clearly isnt working we should go 3412 thats the set up that suits the players in our squad
