View attachment IMG_1477.movThey wouldn't, he'd just suck the air in between his teeth and repeatedly jut his chin out
They must have known loads about EFL because they told a guy with around 50 years in the game that they knew better than him how to go forward this season...and got rid of himWe absolutely should have had a well-connected DoF from the moment the owners came in - suicide to sack a manager like Wilder and recruit a head coach like Selles without recognising that Stephen Bettis CANNOT do the resulting requirement for a DoF role ,
not on top of everything else for which he's responsible.
Why on earth did the owners not see this ?
They must be feckin stupid.
Anything other than challenging for PL and at least being a a Yo-yo club , sees them owning a loss-making white elephant of non-PL club , which could never have been their goal.
Did they know absolutely feck-all about English professional football before they bought ?
They’ve done the YouTube online tutorial on how to sell players but not done the second part on buying players. Be all reyt for JTW, orI can't argue with that. I think people at the club are not doing their job in bringing players in.
Wilder has a track record at this level, Selles doesn't. That obviously means the latter will have less power vis a vis the owners.Selles was brought in by the current owners, and would (you would hope) have had most of the parameters for the way things are expected to work explained to him. Wilder had his own ideas, and they didn't necessarily align. That's all I meant.
That sounds lovely.Scarborough are 100% owned by the fans within a Co-operative business model, for £15 a year you own 1 share and have voting rights etc at the AGM and then there are further options with season tickets attached to them to pay either monthly or annually. As a rebuild for a non-league club it seems to be doing well. We would have to be charging more than £15 a share if we were trying to buy the club outright however a 80/20 split of similar could be achievable on a increase based on our fan base especially if you add it to the season ticket holders and members together plus a few additional that would buy in based on the initial cost of the original buyout. It would then need changes to advise that the board need 85% agreement for x, y and z to occur. Complex but doable
Football clubs aren’t profitable endeavours. Also Hamer 10m hahhahahaI really don't think they appear to have the best interests of the club at heart, consortiums as someone else has said is about profitability! So we have a purchase price of 100m, within 8 or so months got approx 22m back and with Hamer going for maybe 10m, Peck 5m, JLT 500k, Campbell maybe 5m, Burrows 5m and Cooper 10m (total of 57.5m earth pounds) the whole purchase looks a whole (lotta) Rosier to them. Sell the club for 80m and voila keep the consortium happy! To the detriment of Us Blades! That could be nearly 40m profit in a few months, simplistic view but it could happen? Just my shitting of my pants scenario (fed up with bed wetting).
Looks like it!We absolutely should have had a well-connected DoF from the moment the owners came in - suicide to sack a manager like Wilder and recruit a head coach like Selles without recognising that Stephen Bettis CANNOT do the resulting requirement for a DoF role ,

You have to feel sorry for the guy. Club is an utter shambles. Even worse than the last owners.
No you don't as I have explained throughout his disastrous reign.
The last owner was THE BEST owner we have had, rivaled only by Reg Brearley
apart from his insane reappointment of Wilder. Making us a shambles and a global laughing stock in the Premier and the biggest **** up in the championship since three promotion spots were afforded via the playoffs.
He spent ALL the money (and more) gained on promotion - wasted by the imbecile Wilder
Clung on to players to try and ensure promotion (if not after) for a second promotion.
Left Wilder with a squad to top the league and win promotion yet again.
And got rid of the club only because on seeing this sort of mindless stupid criticism (AND VILE ABUSE) that none of the many billionaires he knew would have touched this racist clubs fans with a bargepole to ensure he could retain control and exploit the opportunities.
(Jordan stated that)
He also tried to stop the criminal waste of young talent by Wilder as in the Peck situation (RS interview)
(Too late admittedly)
The only questions about Saudi49er are
did he appoint the imbecile Wilder to show just how thick the fans were and push their noses in it before he left
Or was he that thick as well?
did he (also) screw the fans with COH or was he hoodwinked by shysters (as it appears so far anyway) as he was with McCabe?
The most positive thing I can say at the moment is we all make mistakes, (me more than most in life,) particularly when starting out.
Can Selles and/or COH learn from them.
The negative is will they even recognize mistakes and even try to rectify.
Will any much needed, good players be interested in coming here now after the disastrous start I predicted weeks ago.
On a lighter note

this time we have to stick with it. because im not sure how many people want wilder part 4There's an eerie deja vu of Jokanovic about this.
Yes let me join this little club, was put into supporters club, when 1 day old, by my uncle, first match 4 years later 1961I too have seen it all since 1959. First game 1961. I am absolutely with you on everything you say. We have both got the T shirt and we recognise the signs. How not to run a club and man manage.
Still sticking by what I said here.I said to my brother a few weeks ago that Selles could be the first manager in the Championship to go. I did say I would love to be wrong, but it could go both ways, and still can.
My logic was that he's not, at least so far, had much backing in the transfer market. Many(?) fans didn't want Wilder to go, so for sure those supporters will have less patience than those who wanted a change.
Getting 90+ points is/was always going to be a tall order, so the bar was set very high from the get go.
I personally didn't want Wilder to stay, but I wasn't very excited or optimistic when Selles was appointed either.
If you park all that for a moment, I can't believe people are on his back already after a couple of games.
Time will tell I guess.
