I stand by my point if view and it still, as I said in a follow-up post, contradicts the T&Cs.
The club is worse off because the person using the seat hasn't paid for their seat and thus the club loses money.
I know what you’re saying BOSS but the club aren’t losing money because they didn’t have the money to lose in the first place. If that person who has a ST can’t go for whatever reason then should they get their money back equal to that game they’ve missed? the club can’t have it both ways, they’ve paid for the ticket, it’s gone for the season.

The person borrowing it or paying for it off the person not going might not have been going in the first place so they certainly wouldn’t be losing money then and in fact if it’s a game where it’s close to a sellout, it will free a seat up for another supporter to buy, the club isn’t doing themselves any favours with this at all.

Fuck T&Cs, I prefer common sense mate. 😁

Each to their own. I was just opening up the debate :)

The issue with sharing STs is that unlike buying a newspaper, you own the newspaper. You don't own your seat - you're, in effect, hiring it.

Sharing season tickets reduces income for the club - if you can't attend and your mate, son whatever, uses it, it means they aren't buying a ticket for themselves thus, the club loses income
Basically,, if anyone is to lose out its the fan whose paid out for the seat. Sums up footy these days that does unfortunately ☹.

Maybe the ticket office will let you swap a match on your ST for a proper ticket in someone else's name

Maybe don't ask the question if you don't the answer is going to be in the affirmative.

You’re allowed 6 upgrades per season of a junior ticket, so that an adult can use it - so I don’t see why you couldn’t have 6 transfer tickets. The upgrades always still had the original name on though - which wouldn’t work for id.

Anyone ever moved their existing season ticket to a new seat / stand when renewing?

There’s talk of a shift across to the South Stand from the long established Kop stronghold this close season regardless of promotion or not. Notwithstanding if we go up it’ll be even more challenging, is it relatively easy online? Or am I running the gauntlet of “Let me hold you, for the first time…” on the phone…?

Any insight from people who have done this will be much appreciated.

Have you attended the suitability interview yet, we’re a funny old bunch in the South Stand (quick tip…..don’t forget the Werthers at the interview)

We did exactly this a couple of seasons ago. IIRC there's a short window between ST renewals, to allow incumbents to keep their seat, and general ST sales to allow this. It's definitely worth either a phone call or drop into the ticket office to get the full details. I'd always recommend calling in personally.
