Cant be any worse than say Kitson.
At the other end of his career & on far less £.
worth a punt?

Isn't this exactly the type of signing people have wanted us to be looking at for years? Young, lower league and with potential? Instead of over paid journeymen.

I know nothing of this guy, so can't give an opinion on him either way but at least we seem to be looking at more preferable options to what we have been for the last few years.

Lets sign him and hope he's really good so we can sell him in January and derail our season!

Agreed.

There are players in the lower leagues that are good enough, it's just finding the right ones. I'd rather see us go for players that have something to prove rather than those looking for their last payday.

I agree, but at least you can pretty much guarantee the last payday guys will be here for the season. If any young lads we snap up prove to be half decent they'll be gone in Jan.

Even if that's the case, at least they won't have cost us that much in terms of wages, and we'll be making a profit on the player. It's much more beneficial than paying ridiculous wages for the likes of Higginbotham, Robson and Kitson to play for a season and piss off to their retirement home.

There's plenty of talent in the Conference leagues, but do you take a chance?

One view could be that a natural striker will score goals at any level. However, would a Conference star be stifled by better defenders? On the other hand, he should get better service in a higher league. You take your pick.

His scoring record seems to a bit shit. Was he played as a striker or a midfielder at Yeovil?

Like Chris Guthrie?
