Provided he can get in their team, it's a great move.

I still remember Jebbison having a lot more joy at midtable Burton than Osula did at a promotion chasing Derby.

In both instances we cut their loans short, stunted their development and probably cost ourselves a lot of potential income in the process.
Likewise, Oné should not have been wasted this season.

Lessons to be learned.
I agree Jebbison's development could have been handled better, although a combination of injury and attitude didn't help.

Osula, on the other hand, looked like very good business when he left.

For me, both went at the right time and we should have no regrets.

Could be a great move for him but he does need regular minutes, not necessary regular full games.
Depending on our boards approach to next season, that's when I'd like him to get a full season at a level below his ability so he can score a lot of goals before coming back to us full of confidence and ready for the Championship.
If we're cutting the cloth and consolidating rather than going for playoffs, then he'll probably get more sporadic chances with us when we take Cannon/Bamford out the team.

They made an official statement to say it's not true.

(I.e. the sell on fee being bought out.)

Delighted to hear this. Top end of League One is a great place to see where he is at the moment.
I don't know much about Lincoln's game and you might worry they only want to supplement their squad given their position but their top scorer Freddie Draper only has 6 and is 1.78m tall so there's a great new option for them. If he can get the minutes I've every confidence in him pushing on at that level. Hoping for good reports in a view from later this season.

Lincoln are very direct. Bang it forward at every opportunity and pressurise the opponent's defence. Play for long throws, corners and free kicks where they can load the penalty area.

A big side which doesn't give the other team a moment's rest.

He'll be expected to take possession, often from a long ball and hold it up for others coming up in support.

I expect they want him to take the role of the experienced James Collins who's out injured for the rest of the season.

It may suit him quite well, for now. Hopefully give him some confidence.

Watched Lincoln last night , got a really good set up there , quite a big stand which is full , great atmosphere , singing fans all match ( more than us if i am honest !!!! ) ,very good team , Ryan Oné made the right move there rather then rotherham , he will do well there , if he can get a game , hes going to have to prove himself they were quite good !!

It seems like a good move for him to join Lincoln on loan.

Good to see him staying local and joining a team in a good position. Can hopefully get plenty of minutes.

This could potentially turn out to be a great bit of longer term business

Wow.

I just followed the link, and read the article. The daily record from Scotland.

Perhaps I'm just so old I misremeber, but that was once reputable sauce of news.

It's badly written, to say the least.

I think, in summary (or tldr as they say these days) it says that we've given them a lot less than 500k, to buy out their sell on clause, which the reputable faily record reckons could have been worth 5% of 25 million, because they've gone all sheffield wednesday or something, but without the unique name 😲

Sat on a really dull zoom call so had a look on the Lincoln forums.

Got rated a bunch of 8’s and 8.5’s in their rating thread

If it wasn’t for a good save he’d have got a second goal. A well struck shot was tipped on to the post. He was also unlucky not to have got a couple of assists due to good keeping / poor finishing.

One of their posters compared him to Rogers of Villa who id forgotten had a loan spell there. Said he looked technically very good but a bit languid at times.

General consensus was he was a real threat and worked hard and won the fans MOTM vote.

Link to highlights of the game:

Couple good runs, and we'll taken goal too lovely finish.

Side note, what a dubious red card that was, very very soft, poor call from the referee there.

Its not often I agree with the Prince’s old mouthpiece, but he’s spot on here for me.

One has stand-out physical attributes that should take him to the top, or somewhere very near the top.
He’s quick, physically imposing, cool in front of goal, and decent in the air.
You can’t tell me that he couldn’t cut it at this level with decent game-time.

Whereas Cannon is a plank of wood cosplaying as a footballer.

But the latter cost 10 mil, so he has to hang around the side like a bad smell until he either comes good (which I do hope he does) or runs his contract down.

How many teenagers have nailed down a place for us over the years and played regularly? Last one I can think of is maybe Che Adams or Harry Maguire. But that was in league one.
