Its not often I agree with the Prince’s old mouthpiece, but he’s spot on here for me.

One has stand-out physical attributes that should take him to the top, or somewhere very near the top.
He’s quick, physically imposing, cool in front of goal, and decent in the air.
You can’t tell me that he couldn’t cut it at this level with decent game-time.

Whereas Cannon is a plank of wood cosplaying as a footballer.

But the latter cost 10 mil, so he has to hang around the side like a bad smell until he either comes good (which I do hope he does) or runs his contract down.

If he would be getting championship minutes if we were in the PL, he’d be getting championship minutes now.

If Oxford, Portsmouth, Charlton and the like would have wanted him on loan and would play him regularly, we’d have let him.

My guess is they haven’t been in for him, or would want him as a bench option, whereas at Lincoln he would get more minutes on the pitch at a team creating lots of chances, which would be better for his development.

I trust United’s professional staff over some randomer on Twitter.

I wouldn’t say he’s ’miles ahead of Cannon’, far from it. Lad needs games in ‘men’s league’ and hopefully he’ll get them at Lincoln then come back to challenge here in the summer.

UTB.

Another 6 goals or so for Lincoln will secure us some 10m+ bids in the summer

Which is what we should have got for Jebbison, if we'd had the foresight to leave his banging goals in for Burton.

Osula too, he should have either stayed at Derby or gone to a team lower down and got into double figures in League 1.

Really hope he kicks on in the next couple of months & is part of our squad next season. A shame that in a season that will likely end in mid-table consolidation he hasn’t had a bit more game time & a chance to show what he can do. Appreciate we needed to get away from the drop first but would’ve liked to see him given a chance from January.

Sadly I think as others have said the fee for Cannon, and wages for Ings, have probably led to them being included over Oné. I doubt he’d have offered much less than those 2 in the squad, or the current version of Campbell for that matter!

I’d have to say that time invested in him is better than time invested in Ings but when we often play O’Hare and 1 up, how much game time would be be getting?
