We know from experience that selling your best players particularly in January means you don't do as well as you have done in the first half of the season. I would be a lot more hopeful of our chances if we can sign a CB and a midfielder who has pace and can attack. Striker wise we are decent. Done, Sharp and Sammon have goals in them plus Baxter can always play just behind.

And of course what we're all forgetting ...... is the Football League rule which says " no Club, upon selling one of their best players, may re-invest the proceeds in replacing said players with players of the same or better ability".

You can add Walsall might lose Bradshaw and Sawyers to that list. It could be are major chance of making up the difference. That and the fact Burton now have Clough as manager!

Che is obviously a raw talent that may or may not come to fruition. If the big boys want to offer silly money then let him go. I feel that his recent poor performances are because his head has been turned.

3 million + for a player that may not make it is good business for our club imo.

I feel that Che would jump at the chance of playing in the prem (even as a bench warmer) and if that's the case then he should be allowed to do so.

So .... hold on a minute ..... let me get this clear in my mind .....

A Club from a higher league come in for one of mighty Gillingham's players and make an offer and they don't just drop their pants and say, " ok .... we can't stand in your way so you must be sold and we can't possibly hold out for a higher fee or say NO" !!

Naaaah ...... that cannot possibly be the case. We all know that when a higher league Club come calling you HAVE to sell because you have no choice ....... that's the rules of the game !!
