We are really going to be vulnerable defensively still here. Holding hasn't played much at all and I would imagine is likely to pick up more knocks etc as a result. Leaves us very threadbare and likely more reliant on Robinson than we would be anticipating.

Or we'll be forced to leave one loanee out of our matchday squad.

You'd assume that Gilchrist will mostly make way as we have Clarke in (a specialist RB) and other players that can fill in if needed (Shackleton, Seriki, Choudhury etc).

Begs the question why we've signed two wingers today. An area we didn't need.
Extra funds could have gone on the Dunne deal if that was the one Wilder was pushing for.

Instead we've ended up with the worst of all worlds. A loanee CB that isn't going to be match sharp and bloated the squad unnecessarily.

I don’t think he’s crap in terms of ability Booker the question with him will be can he physically get back at it given his lack of high intensity top level football in recent years and mentally does he still have fire to take his career as far as he can or is he quietly drifting out of the game now taking a wage where he can on the way. We’ll soon see.

Robinson has never been capable in a CB 2. He's fine in a 3, but not a 2.

Playing devil's advocate, when he has played games recently he's had a full 90 minutes each game, which would suggest he's at least keeping fit, albeit for the U21 team. Certainly would be a massive step up in terms of recent competition and I don't think for one moment he starts ahead of Robbo or Anel.

That would explain why Palace are saying they don't want a Loan. I can see them cutting ties and we get him for free, or a nominal fee.

Then TransferMarkt have him down as "suspended", which i guess means by Crystal Palace, not the FA / PL.
