Yes, and yes. We effectively paid Carruthers off so he could join Cambridge.

Holmes continues to be nowhere. By the sounds of it Northampton fans would have him back, but the fact he’s not been linked with anyone suggests he’s either still injured, or happy sitting on his no-doubt-increased-following-promotion wages, or both.

Seem to remember 1 brief cameo against Wolves and other than that has been a complete waste of a wage and space. Wilder chased him for so long, but the existing squad improved at such an unexpected rate he was never going to be good enough.

This will mean nothing to 99% of people, but Holmes is our version of JTG; a wrestler who famously spent years in WWE without actually doing anything. He’d travel to the shows, but was never used. So he hung about backstage, fed himself in catering and avoided/hid from management. All the while he was being paid a nice wedge and somehow managed to avoid various talent cuts over the years.
