I did comment at the game I’d never seen a ref getting in the way of both players and ball
It happens occasionally, but I've never known it happen so many times in one game.

Yeah there was a moment in the 2nd half Hull had a player wide open and the ref stopped it for a free kick.

We would be fuming with that decision as well.
That one was particularly bad, he seemed to delay giving it too, like he gave himself time to think and then got it wrong anyway.

Oh no did someone upset you by suggesting you're not always right?

P.s since you seemed to think I should have a full time-stamped list of the refs errors, I assume you can provide a list of all his correct decisions to support your claim he had a good game?

Goodness me, you've got a right cob on today.

At least we know where to find any sand if there's still a shortage.

Off the top of my head;

He got numerous decisions wrong throughout.

He got in the way of players from both sides numerous times, one of which lead to their red card, Peck complained about him getting in his way at least twice amongst other times.

He stopped at least 2 decent counter-attacks for Hull by failing to play obvious advantages.
I always love that in park Sunday league football. The thing is who is getting in the way of who exactly, he needs to be on the pitch and get himself into angles where he can make decisions. If he is slide tackling players then fair enough but if you can’t avoid someone of that stature it is pretty poor showing from your side. I have to disagree the referee was in the way that led to Lunny being sent off, he was around the halfway line on the Lunny sending off and back tracked to avoid the ball, and was in the perfect position as seen by the screenshots, Lunny ran round him before deciding to lunge in. He had plenty of time to think about the type of tackle he was going to make.

Pretty easy to prove your point when you leave out the key parts that prove you’re wrong 🤦‍♂️🤣

The referee was facing forwards and ran backwards Lunny was side on looking at him after watching the flight of the ball in the air and ran around the referee before then lunging in. The referee didn’t body check Lunny or trip him up, the referees will do as much as possible to get out of the way of play however he took up the perfect position on this one. It is up to the players to avoid the referee. We would have been shouting like anything if he would have been 30 yards away and missed the foul.

Complete bullshit blaming the referee for a disgusting tackle. Probably a straight red with VAR.

The referee is as much a part of the pitch as a goalpost, and players have to play accordingly. You can complain if the ref blocks you out - but you can't complain that the ref caused you to go 2-footed out of control into a tackle.

UTB & FTP!

Ah, so now we know the true identity of JT89
This forum makes me laugh, I had the same view of an incident as various current & ex professional footballers… but there’s people on here who would struggle to make the bench in Sunday league division 8 claiming they know better 🤣

Did the referee slightly impede Lundstram? Probably, yes.

Did Lundstram then commit a reckless foul with no regard for the safety of his opponent? Undoubtedly, yes.

Does a reckless foul require the referee to issue a caution? Yes.

Did the referee’s position cause Lundstram to lunge into a tackle he was never going to make? No.

It’s an absolute non-sequitur to link the referee slightly getting in Lundstram’s way with the awful lunging tackle that followed. Lundstram deserved that booking and as he was stupid enough to make it after already being booked he deserved to get sent off.

To be fair, he deserved a red card just for being John Lundstram.

These are the moments where I would love to say to McBurnie here’s a whistle and have a go. You can’t be standing around on halfway either. McBurnie is a good standard striker in the Championship and apparently on £25k a week. Apparently this season he has had 58 shots but only 28 on target, understand that not all shots will lead to goals but that stat is saying he can’t hit a target 30 times out of 58. A referee will easily have 50 odd decisions to make over a 90 minute match. Imagine if he only got just over 1/2 right we would be fuming (talking corners, goal kicks, throws ins etc) but strikers and footballers in general have such a low shot to target record especially vs their pay

I never had you down as a touchy poster, but blinking flip, you've bitten more than Lorena Bobbit* this weekend.

*Yes, I know she cut it off with a knife, but nobody knows that.

Only just seen the stamp on mcguinness ankle, that was a red card. He deserved to get sent off
