These ones are always weird, if that happens anywhere else on the pitch it’s a late tackle and foul. But when it’s in the penalty area the focus always seem to be on whether or not the player who’s fouled has still got their shot off and if they have they’re rarely given as a penalty

Yep, anywhere else on the pitch that's a foul and a red, but because he's got his shot off it's somehow different?

I'm not a fan of the obsession with fans always blaming the refs for everything and talking conspiracies.

However, I have to confess I've yet to see a game officiated by Mr Allison where I've thought he looked up to the standard required. Probably the most damning indictment on him is that he's often been criticised by both sides after a game.

Really shocking decision. Not only is it a foul in its own right, but even if the ref argued (wrongly) that he got his shot away, Brooks can't get to the rebound because he's been cleared out. Blatant penalty.
