Not all debt has to be bad.
Nothing is achieved without debt,
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING

From a future space exploration to personal spending to buy a new car, it is all achieved with debt.

It doesn't mean it's right, but it is the way it is.

Anybody can be proud of themselves at not having debt, but the person or company that never had debt never achieved anything.

The way things are nowadays, if Mr & Mrs Average want to save to buy a car, they would never own a car, and certainly not a property. The cost will always escalate beyond their savings capacity.

When we were about 20 years old my foreign mate had about £400,000 of debt. He was constantly shitting himself about it, but he had a vision of what he wanted to do.

Me being a clever cunt and doing what I was told by my Sheffield peers had no debt. "Don't borrow money, if you want something save for it" I was told.

At 28 I still had fuck all, until I thought fuck this and went out and borrowed

My mate now has property worth £10,000,000

All achieved with debt.

Debt is only a bad thing when it is out of control and the goods you bought are no good. And this is Sheffield United all over, they can't get value for money, because they scrimp and whimp out on the deals that matter.

Quite happy to waste 100% of the budget on shit to save on wages and be stuck with that shit for years because nobody else wants it, eventually having to pay the contracts up to get rid of them, rather than some researched and calculated risks in buying tomorrows superstars.

We all know who these players are, so why doesn't the club ?
Are you a money lender JJ? 😎

Is this you? 😉

None of that is true but nice try

Which bit isn't true then ?

Nothing is achieved without debt ?
That's true
Even an entire country can't operate without it

My mate having a £10 million property portfolio ?
That's true

Not all debt is bad debt?
That's true, it's only bad debt if the money is wasted on shit

Our waste in the transfer market?
That's true.
The club gets little value for its money when it comes to signing players 90% of the time, due to a history of penny pinching, buying their seventh choice rather than their first or at least second choice.

The 10% that are a success are only a success on the field, not to the clubs bank balance because we end up underselling so as not to keep an unhappy player on shit wages, and then were in a position where were scraping the barrel looking for a replacement but no money to buy one with. And the cycle continues.

The 90% of crap we buy we end up stuck with, eventually having to pay them off to make space for more crap to come in

So I don't know what part isn't true

The entire context of the post is that united are unsuccessfull because they don't have debt
First of all we do and secondly that is not true

Many achievements come about without getting in debt

Your post is total bullshit

How much debt have you got?

hmmm

Madine - 195 Championship games - 33 goals

McBurnie - 87 Championship games - 31 goals

“Far better championship number 9”? Don’t see it myself
The important stat for McBurnie is 87 games for the Blades and only 7 goals!
Just let that sink in.

What "argument"? I was simply responding to the comment stating that "Gary Madine is a much better Championship number 9", the numbers say otherwise, over 100 more Championship games and 2 more goals, hope this helps 👍
It doesn't, I already knew ya point, it was totally tongue in cheek.

Yep, but that wasn't a point I was responding to

At this point people will say anything to make McBurnie look worse than he is, his record for us isn't good enough and that's enough of a statement in itself, don't need to go making up shite about Gary fucking Madine

Don't even attempt to convince the unconvincable, it's just not worth it.

Let's pretend they're all correct.

We'll ignore Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos etc, wtf do they know.

The post is about speculating
No business or individual thrives without it

Regarding United, they wouldn't need debt, if they signed 10 excellent players on the way up instead of 50 shit ones on the way down who are "on the right wages"

False economy, and they've done it for decades, eventually turning a club who in 1925 when they won their last trophy from a major, major football club into a non descript also ran who refuse to even compete with the other also rans
