Realistic and fantasy signings

It seems there is some debate as to how far United can and should make additions to the squad... in particular, the amount of money fans would like us to spend.

1) So thinking in terms of fees and wages, who would you want us to realistically sign and your idea of how much that would cost?

2) Then if United had all the money in the world, which one signing would you make to better the squad?

Obviously for the "one" signing, it would have to be Ronaldo, a one man destroying team.

Realistically Cotterill. We should be able to afford him and if we didnt then we could just sell a couple of fringe players & then be able to afford him.
