I like his honesty in interviews. His ambition is to be number 1 at MUFC, and he's open about that, but not in any way that makes light of him being here. He may see a successful spell here as a stepping stone to greater things, but he is clearly determined to get his head down, work hard and give it his all for the Blades at the moment, and that's all you can ever ask of a young top-flight loan player.

He's already connected well with the fans (I loved his little "Take your time" video when he was in Norwich the other week), and is clearly enjoying his football immensely at the moment. He gained us a point in an otherwise largely poor match on Wednesday night, and he will gain/win us more points than he will cost us this season.

Now...let's see if we can turn his head a little and persuade him to see a long-term future at the REAL United ;)

Fucking hell, yes! We'd been to see Cardiacs at the Old Market in Hove and we were trying to find my mate Andy's car, parked "somewhere". My mates were supremely impressed that I could spot a Sheffield United badge seemingly in outer-space. Even more impressive was that when I shouted, "Oi! Nah den Blade!" you came to the window. The funniest thing was when you came down and Marina took photos of us in the street, one of your neighbours came out to ask us to keep the noise down.

Even more remarkable, although not to anybody who knows me, I was stone-cold sober that night - the sad truth is, I always behave like that. That particular gig was Cardiacs gig number 91 (on their last tour, November 2007) and this tale features in my 101 Cardiacs Gigs book!
Haha yes mate I remember it well, the Forest supporting neighbour was slightly less enthralled than we were! I’ve still got that pic on an old phone somewhere. I remember now you said you’d include the story in your next book as it was so delightfully random! I’m off to pick up a copy now :-)

Bloody hell its 40 quid on amazon, I’ll just have to make do with the memories!

Ah yes, there is that - still, Fever Hitch is nice and cheap. Marina also had a hard-drive nightmare and lost all her photos from that tour, so your old phone may be the only surviving relic of that chance meeting.

It's available online at a reasonable price, although getting royalties out of Google Books has proved something of a challenge. https://play.google.com/books/publish/a/1541588079861992386#list/aylesbury bolton

Get a room ;)

Watch Henderson in this so good “f*ckin blades man!”

Surprised no one has mentioned it yet, but James Beattie is on this cam, around 0.48 seconds, shaking hands with Wilder. He's the 1st team coach nowadays at Brum. Nice to see him back at Bramall lane! Great player for us - just a bit prone to viruses that's all.

Ey up Greenwich, do you recall about 10 years ago wandering the streets of Brighton after a few shandies (I think you’d been to a gig by the band you were following), you somehow spotted a 20cm diameter Blades poster through my third floor window, in the dark?!
You shouted up and I popped down for a rare chat with a fellow Blade! Made my night that did haha.
Cheers mate

And amazingly I stumbled across this photo whilst looking for something else.
