As already mentioned, this is the 2nd half lineup already confirmed.

Second half team
25 Simon Moore
2 George Baldock
3 Enda Stevens
4 John Fleck
7 John Lundstram
8 Luke Freeman
15 Phil Jagielka c
17 David McGoldrick
19 Richard Stearman
20 Kean Bryan
21 Mark Duffy

Oh ok cool... Will be interesting to see how that front 3 work together

McGoldrick up top on his own then

I think people need to place this in the context that it’s the first of any competitive football for us this summer. A year ago our first equivalent first game was against Stocksbridge Park Steels...

There was an attempt to deal with a cross by Moore that reminded me of the need for Henderson, though in fairness he made a good late save which Freeman did well to clear the rebound off the line.

I’d say the general encouraging notes are that Sharp looks in good condition (had an excellent finish chalked off by the ref), Kieron Freeman had a very good half, Slater had some nice moments, Norwood looks well recovered from his hernia op, nobody was awful. That’s about as much as you can expect at this stage.

Now for the things of more interest – how does Luke Freeman fit in, and where is Jagielka going to fit. I predict he’ll be RCB rather than Stearman...

We should be winning as far as I'm concerned. We've been better than Betis.

Following on a stream in Spanish.

“Leon Clark, couldn’tos hit dos barndooros with banjo’os”

não conseguia acertar um burro na parte de trás com um banjo. (Portuguese)

Donkey backside banjo.

Dave Bassett

Los Ketchup to get the crowd going at half time. We're back live now

Fucking tetchy bastards this Betis mob.

One just lashed out at Baldock for nowt.

Lovely play and ball from Enda, to Freeman but the pitch disintegrates under him and he slips.

We should always play with a number 10. Hopefully we will do second half as 2 of them are sat on the bench.

Totally agree unless one of the front two are able to drop-in. Neither Sharp or Clarke can do that although McGoldrick and Robinson can :)

Jags RCB. I would expect then we are only planning to add one further defender to cover LCB. Incidentally, in contrast to the billed 2nd half team it’s JOC that’s stayed on at LCB rather than Bryan switch.

Any familiar faces from here?

Didn't realise Chris Packham was a Blade. There in the orange shirt. He's just spotted a Kestrel...

I know it doesn't matter, and what a time to be a Blade etc,... But the back of that kit is once again, like last year, HORRIFIC! I would argue possibly even worse. First time I've seen it. Frustrating as we'd all like it to be an iconic, timeless kit. Anyway, back to our assault on the Champion's League....

McG with a good chance, possibility to square it disappeared and he tried to go through the keeper, but a good chance.

Just saw a lovely ball through by Duffy to Baldock in space out wide, just needed a simple ball into McGoldrick to tap home but a poor ball easily knocked out for a corner.

If there’s one wish I could have on the current team to improve it this would be on sorting out Baldock’s use of the ball from those players. Sort that out this preseason and we’ll have an excellent player.
