So back in action, with another 'chance' to make things much sweeter table wise. Tonight the visit to Reading with an 8pm kick off, who haven't won a home game since November. Now that is a stat to be very afraid of. And after a very credible draw against Derby, however let's not read too much into that. We're not exactly firing on all cylinders at the moment, and time will tell whether Chris is able to get a reaction to that extremely poor performance on Friday night....

Anyway...

Any team news? :)

Brooks, Wilson and Holmes all facing late fitness tests...

Surely there has to be some changes tonight?

Duffy's exclusion is looking more and more 'odd'

A change in Billy's partner?

Apparently we've won on our last 3 league visits to the Madejski, but yet Reading always feel like a 'bogey' side to me. After Fridays no show, I'm really not all that confident for tonight. However I'm going to play the hope card, and wish for rub of the green, with a 2-1 Blades win and Reading going down to 10 :)

Safe journey all, hopefully a more pleasurable experience to what you endured on Friday...

Hoping CW chances the formation and personnel. A formation of 4-2-3-1 with Blackman in goal, a defence of Baldy, Stears, O'Conn and Lafferty, 2 x def middies (Evans and Fleck), then a front four of Brooks, Duffs, Holmes and Billy.

Drop Bash and Clarke for a rest.

Take the break off Utd and go at these teams who are struggling. If we win great, if we come unstuck then at least we went down with all guns blazing.

He will probably name an unchanged side!

We need to play full on the attack. Reading is gonna get chances either way, we just need to outscore them.

Really tricky one to predict.

I’ve always said no one can legislate for a one-off shoreline because luck can play a part.
However I am expecting s big reaction, big effort with great attitude playing as a team and that’s good enough for me.
We haven’t kept a clean sheet for ages.
I’’ll go for a 1-0 or even a 2-0 Blades win.

I wanted this game to be called off and rearranged for when hopefully everyone was in a better state of mind.

As it is I fear a mullering in this one with the one bright side being Reading will go above Wednesday.

So now begins our ridiculously unappealing and expensive end to our away season.

Still Fulham, Ipswich, Brentford and Bristol City to go after this. Long distance, little hope.

Fucking idiot here has insisted on going to every league game this season and it's too late to turn back. Can someone just shoot me?

Hard to predict how Wilder's post Hull meltdown may hsve affected the players but after hearing Billy's interview yesterday I am reasonably confident that all is good within the camp.

Could go either way though this. Reading playing well by all accounts, we may turn up and hammer them or could go out with a whimper.

Reading scored 3 against Derby, but by all accounts their defence was pretty poor.
Get after them early, shake their confidence, and there's a win in it for us. Sit back and let them play , and we'll lose.

Why do I have the bad feeling he is going to largely stick with the same side to see if he gets a response?

Just talking to our cook at work (Reading ST holder), who's glad they're playing us on a Tuesday night as they've won 4 midweek home games but none on Saturdays, bizarrely. Their defence is poor by all accounts, and expects Billy to score against them as a former (loan) player. No signs of snow so far.

We could really use a win before every Tom, Dick and Harry think they can just beat us.

I predict I’m going to be bloody freezing. I’ve been here only twice before and we have been dire on each occasion, so hopefully the luck changes this evening.

I’ll be surprised if we make too many changes tbh – I think one of Duffy, Holmes or Brooks will come in for Leonard. Other than that, possibly Lundstram for Evans, but I think it’s likely Evans will keep his place.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the chatroom/web site for the RS feed of the game? Ta

Tight 2 -1 win.

Duffy in for Leonard, the only change
