Before people carry on talking about him potentially looking "like one of our best players we have ever had." I need some help understanding him as a player, where would he play in our system, how prevalent are his off the ball contributions to the game and what is this talent people rave about so much and does it suit that position?

As you can see from the videos on YouTube and the multitude of articles & posts about him ont’ net, his best position is obviously goalkeeper. 🙄

He's two footed and is great at carrying the ball past players. He's not blessed with blistering pace, but has skill, and 'glides'. He is a central midfielder. You could play him in the Duffy role or as part of a flatter midfield 3, with him being the one to push on. He can also act in a deeper role as the metronome for the pace of the team. He takes an excellent free kick and can manipulate the ball extremely well, with a good array of passing.

He still presents himself as a bit of a circus idiot on Twitter. Not sure a move back to the North of England will be of benefit to him, or us. I’d avoid this one personally.

By all accounts he’s not even been playing out of his skin in Mexico, or Sweden. Barely played in Italy and a couple of brief flashes aside - never really did anything at West Ham, QPR or Birmingham.

Hopefully hes not of the same ilk as Diego De Giro Claimo

Blimey, you watch that and think wow, what's he been mucking around at becuase the kid's got IT.

Let's not forget as well, that he's playing in an Aladyce team there where the ball would have wellied over his head for most of the game!

Gazza having a spat with Snoop Dogg and United's first Premier League signing is a bloke who's been a pro for nine years and played 50 odd games in that time.
Funny old day.

Or 100 league games and 128 pro games in total.

It's not much, but it's a lot more than your 50.

Apologies, I was looking at Soccerbase's figure for starts and outrageously they seem to have missed off his loan at Atlas in Mexico, which we all remember well.
Maybe Wilder can work his magic again but Morrison's career record is suggests that's unlikely.

You also thought it unlikely we would get automatic promotion

I think there’s a balance here. If RM is a major part of our recruitment that’s a massive gamble. If he’s a low cost see how he goes that’s different. The lad clearly has talent albeit only ever shown in flashes so if CWAK magic works and they get him playing fantastic, if not and we’ve spent virtually nothing on him what have we lost?

I think this signing might be termed "Low Investment,High Risk but with the potential for High Returns" and won't be the major part of recruitment drive.

If Wilder sorts him out it could be a master stroke in the Colin Kazim Richards mould the last time we were in the Premier League he is easily capable of moments of brilliance like CKR produced against Bolton when he bent one around a wall of players and Jaaskalainen from about 30 yards into the bottom corner.

He is the real flair player who can turn a game in an instant if he gets his head right and gets his head down we could have a real quality player onour hands, as Rio said he was very naturally gifted i remember wacthing him in the Youth cup final at the lane and Old Trafford and he was arguably the best player on the pitch.
