First 10 mins , nice play , got in behind them + could have scored.
Then Egan gifts them a goal + our only answer is to boot it long up in the air to Ndiaye who bravely battles for it but no one helps him.
We play like we have never passed the ball in midfield and look terrible.
Hecky again waits till late to get McAtee on who has immediate impact , followed by Bogle & Jebbo.
Fortunately our sustained pressure and a kind ref who wanted us to equalise enabled redemption for Egan.
Basic rule for Hecky - play your "in-form" players mate ... If McAtee looks good and scores twice in two games , FFS play him !

For fuck sake we didn't play well and we have been plundering points away from home like there's no tomorrow without playing well ,that's promotion form.
As for the ref being kind where do you get that from?.
5 minutes was on the board as a QPR player went down injured ! he was just trying to stop our momentum ! add another minute the ref wernt being kind he was playing it to the book.
Justice was done when we equalised in that extra minute! Ref played another minute on top of the 6 minutes as we celebrated wildly.
Where was the ref being kind ?

delighted with point. to keep 9 ahead of auto. you can critzize a few things, how maybe we got out of jail. but you cant be critical of the spirit. absolutely loved them going to the final whistle. id say we deserved a point overall. as QPR were only leading through a fluke / deflection to lead. & when we finally started testing their defence in the 60th - 65th min with mcatee & Berge pushed higher. we looked alot more like what we are used to

just hope that by 14th, either mcburnie is back or we have another attacking option. reliance on our midfield is a worry. as i said on different thread i hate being critical of billy sharp. because its billy sharp & is arguably espically with the recent stats. our greatest striker of the last 40 years but he is 37 next month. we do struggle for an attacking presence with him on the pitch. sport is ruthless & you have to think of our opinion if burnley, blackburn, or Watford had a 37yr old as their 1st choice FWD

A draw that felt like a win. Credit to Rangers they outplayed us most of the game. They moved the ball about swiftly whilst we just seemed to hook or head the ball skywards and hope for happy landings. We seemed particularly vulnerable on the flanks.

The players bus overtook us on the M1 - about the only time some of our players got past anything all night.

The ref was kind, we should have been down to 10 men after Sharp elbowed their player in the face.
Just watched it on Sky this morning and it was a red all day long.

Just read this thread and can't believe I was watching the same game. We deserved at least a draw and probably did enough to win it. This playing away against a decent team that has been on a bad run but is still in the play-off mix.

Win your home games and draw your away games and you get automatic promotion. We just drew a tricky away game. Suddenly the manager hasn't a clue and the players are past it, or lazy, or idiots.

People need to realise that we won't win every game this season. No team ever does.

Irogbunam & Chair were better than our DM/attacking midfield combos, & Rangers were better in wide areas too for long periods of the game. Critchley starting to get a tune out of them? We looked much better after the late change of shape, but a point a piece is probably a fair result. That’s five times that ref’s had QPR this season, & they’ve not lost any of them.. seen far worse though.

That last gasp point says a lot about the players and management.

Since 2014/15 season 90 points has assured automatic promotion and on occasion as little as 84 points was all that was required.

So 20 to play and 13 wins should do it, possibly just 11?!?

Easier said than done.

Well it takes all sorts mate .I totally agree with you ,Billy earned us six points over the xmas period ,what short memories they have .We know that he is no longer first choice but he has a lot of credit in the bank when you remember what he has done for this club. Who i wonder would these guys play before Billy ? He is the only fit experenced striker we have got. To slag him off is an insult. He is 36/37 and he tries his best ,we know is time is nearly up but to slag him off is unforgivable.

And to put that in to more context, today we’re looking at the following:

Home (v Top 12) - 4
Away (v Top 12) - 5
Home (v Bottom 12) - 7
Away (v Bottom 12) - 4

Emphasis is more the need to beat Bottom 12 sides; beating Top 12 sides is a bonus. If we beat Bottom 12 sides, draws with the Top 12 outfits will be adequate.
