That's a great point, considering how poor we were, it's one of those games that could turn out to be a turning point, where some harsh words are said and they realise that they have to up their performances or their Hope's of being premier league players will disappear
Turning point?? What from our abysmal form of late??

THat is us over now, prepare for heartbreak again fellow Blades but that was the worst of the worst.....................Hecky, no idea? We''ll
get caught by Boro. Next game draw, game after draw, you have all seen it before absolute ****ing rubbish!
Bet you’re a barrel of laughs at parties.

Poor game and poor performance.

Bad first half when only Anel, Ndiaye and Norwood came out with any credit. They scored from Egan's mistake and a lucky deflection. Second half was pretty much the same but we increasingly came into it and the substitutions gave us more of the ball. Lucky late goal but a draw was probably about fair. We looked tired though and the injuries are beginning to stack up again.

Wes - 5 - Ridiculous handball and big boots up to no one. Had little else to do.
Stevens - 6 - Thought he did ok. Had 2-3 of our better efforts on goals with shots. Didn't get forward that often but looked most likely to score.
Clark - 5.5 - Did ok first half but gradually got sloppier before going off at halftime with a hamstring injury.
Egan - 5 - His error and deflection gave them the goal and he struggled with Dykes. Gets a point for the last minute goal.
Anel - 8 - MOM for me. Always in the right place at the right time. Didn't do great going forward but a rock at the back.
Baldock - 5 - Largely ineffective. He seems to be less and less in forward area and defensively mixed.
Doyle - 4 - Thought he looked slow and weak in challenges and apart from one great ball looked off the pace
Norwood - 7 - The one midfielder making tackles first half yet again. seemed to be everywhere. Didn't use the ball well and set pieces were poor.
Berge - 3 - Terrible first half. I put more effort into having a shit. When other players pressing he ambled around. Did little defensively. Did better in a 10 minutes spell second half when he was further forward. Nowhere near good enough workrate to justify a move anywhere.
Ndiaye - 6 - Always a nuisance and had a couple of runs but no real end product and made some poor decisions. Not his best game
Sharp - 5 - Still a danger when he gets on the ball in and around their box but didn't do near enough to run the line. There was rarely an outball for defenders. We are so short upfront.

Subs

Robinson - 5 - Thought he was poor and every throw was aimless
McAtee - 6 - Mixed but at least tried to get to the byline and make things happen
Jebbo - 7 - Excellent when he came on. Provided and outlet and did really well holding the ball up and providing a threat.
Bogle - 6 - Came on and provided some extra legs

Hecky - 6 - Struggling a bit at the moment but his substitutions made a difference. Changing to 4 at the back gave us more of the ball and and the choice of an extra striker worked. We're beginning to struggle again with injuries though and if we have any serious commitment to promotion need a midfielder and a striker. Too many players out for too long.

QPR - They're clearly a much better team than results would suggest with some good players. Dykes was the best player on the pitch by a mile. All over the shop.

Piss poor selections.
Start McAtee (who is in rich seam of form) & Bogle and we win that
Play a player who probably needed a rest and the lad who played his first game in months a few days ago?

Sounds like an idea.

Agree and put Lowe in the left back position and we can attack down either wing.
In the end, based on match stats and XG stats a draw was a fair result.
We'll take a hard earned point and move on.

When I saw the team sheet I thought it was a good line up, pre match I thought that Doyle starting would allow berge to play his football further forward, it didn't pan out like that, I thought we started well but egans mistake changed the game, QPR had their tails up then and we played far too deep with no midfield to speak of, and we were just lumping it forward, QPR started nervous and if they didn't score that would have increased, I also think that if egan hadn't have touched it wes had it covered

Stats suggest a draw was the fair result over the course of the game - shots and XGs pretty similar.

But we were carrying too many players today. Billy is still trying his heart but when jebbo came on he did more in 20 mins and should be a starter based on that. Berge is so frustrating he just doesn't look like his hearts in it sometimes, and then has the odd 5 seconds of quality that reminds you there is a player in there

Agree with most of that apart from Sharp a couple of marks too high and Robinson and McAtee a mark each too low!

Great point, not at our best, but QPR got deflected goal and didn't really create that much after that..Jebbo and McAtee made a difference, deserved the point for me.

We were poor for the majority of that game. Thought McAtee was superb when he came on and did what Berge should be doing. Jebbo finally looked a threat also. We just couldn’t get hold of the ball for long enough spells and as usual suffered against a high press.
For all the good results recently, That game had been coming and although it is often said that the mark of a good team is winning when playing badly, we have got away with being good for about 30 mins of each game since the World Cup.
When we are good, we are very good and head and shooters above anyone else in the division, but we need to learn how to counter the high press.
Ndiaye was unlucky with his touch in the box, otherwise he would have scored another Worldy. Perhaps better for us in the JTW that he didn’t.

So we need Hecky to come and ****ing explain that rubbish? Please, pathetic, the worst performance of this season!!!!
What was the worst performance of last season?
When we didn’t turn up at Coventry maybe and they pretty much walked it into our net 4 times …?
Compare that with tonight - conceded a fluke goal, didn’t really control the game, played a few second-string players who were poor (Stevens, Sharp), Berge having a bad game, Ndiaye clearly closely marked, tactical options narrowed down by not having McBurnie to win headers up the pitch.
Still got a goal.
Wes was hardly making save after save.
We weren’t being carved open at will.
Still got a point.
It may well have been the worst performance of the season, but it really could have been a lot worse ...

Respect to any Blade but I'm really quite glad I don't see or feel this way.

And yes I do think we were pretty poor, I do think we got out of jail a bit, I do think we haven't been at our best since the World Cup, I do think our best players I consider to be our best players should start together more often.

However I also enjoy it. Win, lose or draw.

I’ve seen this narrative a few times. Berge plays RM of a midfield 3. He plays the same way no matter who is playing on the left side of the 3

We were always going to struggle with Baldock and Stevens as wing backs add to that Berge and Doyle being very poor. Makes grabbing a point in injury time all the more amazing.

First 10 mins , nice play , got in behind them + could have scored.
Then Egan gifts them a goal + our only answer is to boot it long up in the air to Ndiaye who bravely battles for it but no one helps him.
We play like we have never passed the ball in midfield and look terrible.
Hecky again waits till late to get McAtee on who has immediate impact , followed by Bogle & Jebbo.
Fortunately our sustained pressure and a kind ref who wanted us to equalise enabled redemption for Egan.
Basic rule for Hecky - play your "in-form" players mate ... If McAtee looks good and scores twice in two games , FFS play him !

Effort & Desire by Berge ?
He did fuck all the entire game and should have been off , not Doyle

First time I noticed Doyle was late in the first half when he gave away possession easily and was lucky not to get booked for a foul trying to win the ball back. Completely anonymous, easily his worst game for us

Agree, Doyle totally anonymous in the first half. McAtee, I felt, was excellent again when he came on. Thought he should have started. But then again, I'm not a qualified football manager ...
