So immediately back in action - seems sooner than Friday we played - with the tricky Halloween trip to QPR ;) What a meteoric rise it's been scarily taking us to the top of the Championship. And tonight we have every chance of exorcising the Demons of our last 5 league visits their, with no wins in 5. Having said that they had an excellent win on Saturday v Wolves, ending a nightmare run of 7 without a win. It'll be no easy task but no reason to go there with any fear....

Anyway....

Any team news? :)

With the extra days rest an unchanged starting lineup is likely?

At some point hope to see Brooks treat us with some tricks? ;)

The lads are sure to be pump(kin)ed up in the knowledge they can, at the bare minimum remain top by a point with a victory. Difficult game though, and one I feel where we might break our run of games without a draw. Head says 1-1, heart is willing a 2-1 victory Witch would be just perfect.

So safe journey lads and lasses, and I hope we do you proud....

We have a few key pleyers now but tonight I think we miss our most influential.
This will be a massive test without Fleck and of the positions we have cover for I think its Flecks position where we are weakest.
Hopefully we adjust, try a slightly different approach or formation.
I worry that we wont be at our best tonight in terms of pressing and creating...
Thays why I'm only going with a 1-3 win ;)

well if i was a QPR fan (oh thankyou god! thankyou!) i don't think i'd find 1 win in 8 a hugely comforting recent track record, whereas we blades on the other hand.....

poor old QPR - a charmless unloved mangy cur of a club for whom the celebrated football couplet 'shit ground, no fans' might have been specifically written and they play in hoops!

So where are people that are going meeting up pre-game, me and coaxingstar71 are going tonight and happy to meet up with other for a few pre drinks, Spoke to South Bucks and he said the crown is for home support only so the sindercombe or Central Bar, looking forwards to the game and hopefully a good one :)

i rather like loftus road .. proper ground.. in fact proper club

Samir for Fleck would be my call but I expect Lundstrum to be the actual replacement. I'm happy with either, in Wilder we trust. I'd like to see Clayton get some minutes back from injury, off the bench around 60 minute mark, think this could be his kind of game.

Was just having a look through what QPR's players cost in transfer fees (based on their starting 11 v Wolves on Saturday) -

Smithies - £1.8m
Baptiste - nowt/out of contract
Lynch - £1.2m
Robinson - £1m
Cousins - £1.25m
Luongo - £3.5m (with Ben Gladwin)
Scowen - nowt/out of contract
Freeman - £300k
Bidwell - £1.3m
Sylla - £1.5m
Washington - £2.5m

Round about £15m in total. Hardly the stratospheric spending of a Wolves (or Pork). But, still, vastly more than our free transfers and lower division hundreds-of-thousands buys.

We might be top, but we're still underdogs.

I'd be more worried if we were missing Duffy or Coutts. Anyway, we appear to have good replacements for all our first-teamers.
Not got a good feeling about this one. I'd take a draw even though we don't do draws:confused:

We've 'only' gone 21 league games without a draw (Oldham away, 25th March).

Bump. Come on you Blades.
Whatever happens, I'll still love you tomorrow. X

Any thoughts on why Sharpe is dropped?

I reckon Donaldo might be preferred for some high pressing, perhaps. Or Billy is tired.

Going to have to come from behind for the first time this season if we are to maintain our run.

This ain't going to be easy now... fell a florist type of game coming on, they will be all over us trying to stop our play... come on blades let's get this back level.

You can also wonder how the fuck JOC missed from a yard out underneath the bar.
