The highlight of the game was their number 10, Otzumer, whose claim to fame is that he once played as a ringer for Willy Wonka's company 5-a-side team. Wiki has him at 5'3, but I can only assume that's in 6 inch platform shoes.
Frankly, there were only two players on the pitch starting for us to whom the game might have mattered just a little bit. One was Brown, on a short-term contract, no doubt looking to make an impression. He put in two or three good crosses. I'll make no other comment on him at this time. The other was the young lad, Brooks, who will have wanted to push himself up the ranks a little. Thought he did okay, definitely didn't do poorly, but didn't make much of an impact either aside from the odd neat touch. One to watch out for in the future, I'm sure.
The rest of the team appeared more concerned with the dirt under their finger nails than what was going on around them. Done ran around a lot, because he seems to enjoy that, and Basham tackled a bit, because he obviously loves that. Nothing else to report.
Let's be fair, we treated this competition with far more respect and effort than it deserves.
