Obviously losing after being 2-0 up and in total control is massively frustrating, but trying to judge it as a whole, it’s been a positive week.

We’re no where near where we should be in terms of fitness and it’s caught up. With a bit of momentum, Preston ended up head and shoulders above us in terms of physicality in the middle of the second half.

Bit of luck here and there and we have scored another couple late on. All in all, six points from three games, including two away is not to be sniffed at (it’s the magic 2pts per game us punters all know and love).

There are glaring deficiencies in the squad, and square pegs in round holes, but that’s more of a fitness/availability challenge at the moment.
So we’re relying on luck? FFS

I’ll add another positive tonight … I thought Soumare was excellent again. Some great awareness and positive passing. Shame about the missed chance but he looks a great prospect.
At the other end of the scale… Cannon, Barry and Ings just offer nothing and all have to be replaced in January.
I would have taken 6 points this week… just a shame that the way we capitulated tonight will undo a lot of positive momentum.

We played well first half, pressed well & played quickly. We realised their defence was poor on the ball and would cough up chances.

Unfortunately Hecky then figured out that we’re even shitter on the ball & just to let us have it & we’ll give them chances and then they absolutely bullied us.

deeply frustrating. no team when 2-0 up & that much in control. should be losing that match

preston i bet cant believe their luck. we switched off in the final min of the 1st half & 1st min of 2nd half. all our great play, counted for nothing.

we were so good, we couldve been 3-4 up at half time & to think we got nothing for that is ludicrous

Actually, besides O'Hare, Soumare was the next best after he came on.

Unfortunate with the OG, and the knock to McGuinness before the winner but we were so toothless in that second half. After all that hard work to get those two wins especially the comeback win against Blackburn and then to perform like that in the second half, so bloody frustrating.

This is the actual problem. You don’t feel like there’s anyone who will come in and make a difference.
Completely agree lack of depth on the bench. Awful contribution from Ings. There's no one shouting on the pitch and no wild card to bring on. Robinson despite his numerous flaws. Would at least add a bit of aggro and aggression (mostly covering his own errors).

Hate to be regressive but we need a shouter or two on the pitch. Ala Brown/Morgan. Hoping tanganga can step up. But that OG obviously knocked the wind out of him.

Why do we insist of giving players a contract whose legs have clearly gone and to those who have been injury prone most there careers and still are. Do we think we can polish a turd?

Its the Wilder way without the team spirit from last season. Clinging on for 1-0 wins is a thing of the past.
League 1 might be a blessing - we have to start again from somewhere. Successive mistakes have been made this season by the owners - and as a result we are in a mess.

Tanganja was looking stressed, frustrated, head down. Basically went to pieces after the OG and really should have come off as he’d imploded. Not sure who for, but should’ve come off. Overall a real shame throwing away the 2-0 lead however 2 of their 3 goals were pretty facking good to be fair.

The timing of there goals either side of H/T shifted the momentum, and we couldn't wrestle back control of the game.
Positives were Motm COH,Brooks first half and Soumare 2nd half were the stsnd outs.
6 points out of 9 isn't bad at this stage.

I don’t think we’ll go down. I think we’ll finish fairly comfortably in lower mid table. But then the club needs a reset, including a change of manager. Selles was clearly a mistake and COH have panicked, but that mustn’t be allowed to paper over the fact that change is badly needed. Maybe get a senior football person to actually interview a few candidates next time.

we got some things right , but still got some things wrong
improving in attack but still weak in a press
energy levels are worrying the way we faded late on

The way Preston came at us in the second half i couldn't help thinking Cannon would be a good fit for them and him, our style just doesn't suit him

The fact that Wilder thought the answers to the questions Preston/Hecky started asking was Canon and Barry has me seriously dubious.

I'd be happy if Cannon and Barry never played another minute, but who else could he have brought on? Campbell can't play 90 minutes every week (no striker does at any club), so unfortunately we have to bring shit players on.

It comes down to that absolute farce of a transfer window.
