First year of a new set of rights. Uk deals actually going down but overseas rights mean 8% improvement on the last rights just shy of £10 billion over 3 years . When we last got relegated it was the last year of a old deal meaning the benefits + increased parachute payments went to sides other than us. Lets hope this makes us a more attractive option for any new owners once this court case is done.

how much actual money do the blades get then ?

They get
an equal share amount £85m?
A merit amount and £2m per place?
an amount based on TV games lowest last year was £12.3 (so £15m?)

£100m ?

Plus parachute payments which is about half that the year after if we go down...+ sponsorships, hospitality, bigger gates etc etc they are advertising the play off final as worth £170 million...

The extra money is a bad thing not a good thing. All it will do is further inflate transfer fees and wages; so rather than being able to buy even better players, we will just be buying the same standard of players we would have, had we been a Prem team the year before, but for a higher price.... which makes relegation even more financially dangerous!

Fuck me, half empty or what?!
That’s like saying “I’ve had a massive pay rise at work, so now instead of shopping at Aldi and Argos, I’m going to Waitrose and House of Fraser.....”
Even if you go back to your old wage you have enjoyed the trappings of success, and are better off for it
Admittedly we may have to spend £20m on a striker, but if the shit hits the fan we can sell him for roughly the same

Enjoy it, it’s what we’ve all been craving for many years.

Peanuts compared to what Wednesday will get for 'Fessi', Fatboy Hooper, Sicknote Fletcher and Poison Dwarf Bazza. Plus gate receipts from games against the likes of Luton and Barnsley.

The only people that will enjoy the extra money are agents and players getting extra salaries.

Woah, woah, woah... what is this "down" that you speak of? We shall have none of that talk around here!

That will be the case at most Premier League clubs but don't forget we have got Wilder and he won't suffer fools gladly. Enjoy the ride and being able to shop in Waitrose instead of Aldi for a change

Exactly, players who command £15 million + transfer fees aren't suddenly forgotten about if it doesn't work out at a particular club.
Players who cost £200,000 - £500,000 are.
These are the types of players who have bled us dry because nobody else wants them and we were stuck with them.

If we signed a McBurnie, Maupay or Bowen we'd probably profit from them even if we got relegated, we'd at least be able to offload them and there'd be plenty of interest in them, and we'd bring a sizeable sum of our money back into the club at the same time.

Spot on! These are all players whose careers are on the up. & if we did go down their goals could help us bounce back, or their sale could balance the books.

loads of our fans are missing this point.

The only thing i would add is CW/AK would make the player better, therefore sell for a profit.

UTB

Exactly

But but Fulham spent 100 million But but Wendy spent millions

They don’t have chrissy wilder and Alan Knill

I'm not on a negative vibe, but transfers like Bowen, Mcburnie and Maupay make losses all the time.

If we buy them and they prove not to be up to prem standard, they can only be sold for a top of the championship fee, rather than a prem one that we pay.
