Cheers, take a bit of issue with that lad saying Done is 'a very average player but he is giving his all.', giving 'your all' should be the minimum ;) ....think he's a very good player for L1 when played up front as you'll hopefully find out on Saturday. :)

They don't know much, both Clarke and Lavery are injured.

I think this game is going to be a real measure of how good this Blades side is as Scunny are flying.

Jesus.

Apparently Wilson and Clough were the right managers, Duffy's shown 'very little' so far and we've been watching 'sideways and backwards' football (because obviously you should ONLY pass the ball forwards...)

At least 'JW' has a bit of a clue.

"If you can get around and behind our wingbacks, I believe that’s our weak link."

I think this is true.

At the risk of being considered complacent, which I have never been watching us in 50 plus years; after 5 years and counting in this shit league, where we have largely been equally shit,I say we should go to Scunthorpe and absolutely smash them.
Either we are serious about getting promoted or we aren`t.
Absolutely no disrespect to Scunthorpe or any other team but it`s about time we put every cunt to the sword a la 4th Division campaign. As long as we worry about teams like Scunthorpe,Walsall,Southend etc,we`ll be just like them.

Not bored to tears under Adkins then? I gave MY view on what i'd seen that's all - he did ask for as many views as possible so maybe you should have poked your head above ground at that point old love?

Loads of disrespect ,its an absolute hole ,an apprentice second rate little Sheffield ,there isn't a cunt in its name for nowt ,crappy little second rate 'new' ground and team punching way above its weight. We will piss all over them on Saturday ,sharp and Duffy will both notch in a 3-0 win.

People also seem to forget that Matt Done "was" a left back. So Adkins putting him there wasn't quite as ridiculous as it sounds.

That's the spirit sitters, no fence-sitting from you! UTB

The comment clearly suggests we've been watching 'sideways and backwards' football under Wilder. Which is wrong, it's been far from it. I think when we have bad performances and results some people think back to the 'sideways and backwards' stuff (which you'll see from every team in every game) and blame that.

What i was getting at is that under Adkins and Clough (towards the end) it was 90% backwards and sideways at pedestrian pace with 10% long ball. The point i was trying to make in those first few games trying to shape the side there was some sideways and backwards stuff, referring to the games against Crewe and Southend especially, where we laboured and looked slow in possession. However, that has changed when we adopted the 3-5-2 formation we currently use, make more sense?

There will always be sideways and backwards stuff. When we don't win it gets highlighted, and remembered. It's not been a prominent feature of our season at all. Half a game against Southend when the game was over and a cup game against Crewe is barely noteworthy in the grand scheme of things. I'd say earlier on in the season it was our inability to pass the ball full stop that was the problem, not being negative with it. Since then Coutts has had a lot of influence, as has the formation change.

That is what I would usually post on a Friday night about half elevenand then in the morning think, I shouldn't have said that it will come back to haunt me,but I love it sitters, 100% agree, you just wait till Friday night now, it'll be 0-5 and Duffy and Sharpe will take the headlines along the lines of ex irons come back and murder us.

So was Gareth Bale but i doubt Zidane would play him at LB for Real Madrid because they bought him for his attacking talents

Im always wary of Scunthorpe. Because we have bad luck remember few years battering them but losing 4-0. Then we went 2-0 in 1st 5 mins & managed to lose 3-2. Didnt shaun miller get his ACL injury which he was never same player again v them. The least said about adkins final match of his reign better

Yes but if Zidane only had McEverley and Wallace , then Bale would have to take one for the team
