The Golden Lion is going downhill, after Lee left just over a year ago the new incumbents had a good go, but they have left as 23 guaranteed decent trading days can't be enough to sustain a business. And the new lot running it seem to be holding tenants, just in place til the Pubco owner finds another sucker to fleece.
It's a nice little backstreet boozer, but I fear it's days are numbered.
Always a good gathering in the PheasantCricketers was my local at weekends whether match was on or not when Kevin had it then tite shirt took over after with Eric....also pheasant...good old days
My usual Saturday went pear shaped as I could not get all the beer I wanted....tills were down amongst other things.
