Wtf is wrong with our discipline at the end of games ?
Surely Wilder has emphasized the need to cut out the melees.
They've fined us once. , then doubled it for the second brawl.
Can they impose a points deduction for our 3rd offence ?
Utter madness by the players.

A points deduction is certainly possible but I think they need to actually state a further infringement will be points deduction.. no specific set amount of games tho.

It was a weird one at the end. The ref blew for full time as a tackle/foul came in. I presume the Sheffield players thought it was a free kick he had given and not the end of the game. Can't see any other reason for it.

A point away is a great result if you can follow it up with a win at home. We'll have a lot easier games on the road than Pompey, who will be midtable come the end of the season, their opening fixtures have been horrendous - the current top 2, the 3 teams relegated from the prem, plus Leeds and Boro.

Some good signs and another clean sheet, happy with 6th place currently.

Souza couldn't resist but to get a booking in the 96th minute
Have just realised he is likely to be banned before Blaster or Davies is fit.
So we'll have a game without either of our best two holding midfielders and lose some height from the team.
He's also likely to get a two-game for 10 yellows before match 35.
Wilder needs to get a grip of discipline coz our reputation (eg brawls at end of game) will start negatively affecting how refs treat us.

First game I've missed (watching live) in over a year as got a bit tipsy watching AFL grand final. Also our first league nil nil since Rotherham in Feb 2023.

Quite enjoyed extended highlights.

My understanding was that United were on the attack, the Portsmouth player cynically took the United player down to halt the attack, the ref blew for the foul, but then blew the full time whistle preventing us taking the free kick (although the view from the away end is poor, particularly when the sun is in your eyes, so I could have got that wrong).

In tight games like this one, one error can cost you.
Brewster lost his man at a corner near the end but thankfully he headed over.

The result isn't as bad as their league position makes out.

However I think the lack of goals in our side is a issue. We played well but rarely looked nailed on to score.

On the plus side another clean sheet and really only the save just before half time and a late header just over the only real scares.
I remember this being an issue under wilder towards the end of his tenure last time…

We created opportunities and couldn’t take them and also seemed to play our way out of dangerous situations

We need to be more ruthless when we start playing the teams in and around us

That's exactly what happened, it should have been a booking for their man and a last chance for us. For some explicable reason the ref decided to finish the game at least a minute early.

We had a natural born goalscorer in that side though. I think if this side had a younger Billy Sharp it would be different

I loved it yesterday. A long way for a 0-0 draw, but had a great time with the lad. Rough area where we stayed, but a proper old school football ground, good home support and a great following from the Blades. 7 down, 39 to go. Roll on the next one.

If he wanted to start a riot he could have gone full Clive Thomas

Yeah but even then toward the end we stopped getting the ball in to him quick enough and over complicating our attacks
