Chris Lucketti gets the motm for me today. Didn't think he made one single mistake myself, he was strong and commanding in the air.

Was impressed with Stead too.

Shame about the Davis pass to their defender when Gerrard came for it.

Todays was hardly Gerrards fault, it was Davis.

He made a cracking save from Andy Cole too.

If you think that putting a midfielder in goal (no matter how competent a stand in he is) at the Majeski in place of an experienced Paul Gerrard is a good plan then I seriously worry about your sanity.

Failing that he should be screaming at Claude telling him to hoof it. Instead he just sat on his line without a whisper hoping that someone else would deal with it.
The sooner that useless **** is out of goals the sooner we can get back to winning games.

Hopefully that long-haired bloke who got his contract this afternoon is a goalkeeper.

everyone is saying its davis fault? he screamed at gerrard to come and collect it and that was before he even got inside the 18 yard box. if gerrard didnt want it he should have told him to get shut. Hes too slow and cant get down to them. id rather have played the youth keeper TBH. Bad communication on both parts, but id say it was more gerrards fault, although both made the cock up.

The tactics were useless. we tried doing what we did against arsenal, defending a 1 goal lead in the first half. Jagz was playing center half for the seccond half. We must keep the ball and press on for 2 goals. But due to tactics, we hoof the ball up front from kozzy. again. We wont be signing any midfielders in the transfer window as warnock dosent use them. we bypass the midfield.

Kozzys marking is dire. why is he always 10 yards off his man?

To be fair to Gerrard he made 3 excellent saves.....the free kick one in particular whilst everyone in front of him didn't even realise what was happening.

Having seen it again on TV I'd still say it was Davis at fault as I did at the time.
