Portsmouth away - safe for kids?

I've not had to buy away tickets for a long time but my dad is trying.

What's the "one ticket per supporter" all about? I assume you can buy tickets for linked friends and family (ie me) but I don't know where this leaves my son!

As of this minute there are apparently 25 tickets left! It looks like we'll be safe after all, as we'll be watching it at home!
Really?!

I was going to try and get a ticket, but I've not bought membership so was having to sit and hope for Friday afternoon (my loyalty points being irrelevant without membership).

I went on at 9.15 and it said last tickets remaining. I would say about half the available tickets had gone. It looks as though some fans are very quick on the draw! I think (and hope for others) another block will open

Only Block L was available at 9.15. I see Block N is available now. Block M not available but I wonder if that has actually been available so far?

Apologies for the misinformation! They are indeed releasing a block at a time hence the confusion!

They do seem to be going pretty fast though.

It's nearly 3hrs by train for me...to cover just over 50 miles as the crow flies. That's baffling.

Block m will have been on sale in the ticket office as the sales are going from L M N P Q

Booked a spot here for the match.
1mile from the ground, £7 for 10 hours parking.

I looked at trains but no thanks! Gonna drive down and stay overnight.

If you can get up to Sheffield on the 26th of October and you want 2 tickets for you and your lad for the home game against Stoke, you can have ours. 2 adult tickets in the middle of John Street. Don't want anything for them, you just need to be registered with the club. I usually give them to a mate when we are on our hols, but you can have first dibs if you're interested?
Late to this but the Blades Family is truly a wonderful thing!

Yes you can buy for others on your friends and family. You just can't buy more than one on your own number

In terms of people talking trains I was surprised it's a good two hours from London to Fratton on its own

Nedski did you make it in the end? although the result doesn't show it looked like a good game to be at if you were!

Did you manage to find a willing victim SUFC Guy ? I’d happily have them if still available please.

I think he did - he commented on my ratings thread. I took my elder, he was convinced that the Pompey chant was "who are we?" which was quite amusing, and he also thought it was "the worst match ever" because there were no goals. I didn't remind him that his only other away game was Arsenal last season.

No issues at all with getting there, getting in or getting away but half time was a joke. He stayed in his seat which is just as well as the concourse wouldn't have been safe for a 7 year old.

Yes we made it (just! Parking is pretty awful in that area!).

My boy loved it. He panicked a little in the concourse area before the game as it was rammed, noisy, and lots of people pushing past us but once we got to our seats he was fine. The seats weren't great though, we were right behind the goal and the net/cross bar made it impossible to have any idea what was going on at the other end!

He really wants to go to Bramall Lane now so I'll hopefully get him and my 5 year old there this season, and he might actually see some goals!

Really glad he enjoyed it and its good for him to have been to other grounds so he can experience how amazing BDTBL is!
