These will have to come out second half and open up. We need to bring Campbell on at half time and then we score again and win this 2 or 3 nil

Jesus. Hamer’s fucking ball control at times too. How many times does he just overrun it!

Winning but against the shittist team in the league and far from convincing.

Playing the odds and put a fiver on Cannon to score or an assist

True but how many times have we played him through? How many times have we put balls across the area between 6 yard box and penalty spot?

It’s a thankless task being a striker who can finish as we don’t create and clear cut chances.
Fair points but a striker with more about him creates these goalscoring situations

What a truly dire half of football. Truly League 1 standard from both teams. Quality finish from JRS was the one good moment of the half.

Hoof. Hoof it again. Hoof it again. HOOF. Jesus, is we go up we're going to set (more) records.

Very glad to see JRS back, and made up he’s grabbed a goal.

If Wilder has us sitting back the rest of the game though I’ll be pissed

We’ve got to win here and got to expect that games at home to Norwich and Preston are not the ones that will deprive Leeds and Burnley of points.

It’s the away games they are more likely to drop points.

drblade I don't think clakes done too bad m8
Robinson a liability
Souza not at it
Peck grafting away as per normal
JRS quite
Hamer & Ohare mmmm
Cannon nothing doesn't help with no service
We're way way to slow
Robinson is a liability… when not playing a 900 mile an hour pass to a team mate 5 meters away, he’s grappling in the box, or throwing the ball direct to the keeper with most of our team up the pitch.

Hamers been miles off it. Pecks final ball has been atrocious and Cannons too weak although he's had fuck all to work with. Still, I'll take a 1-0 victory at this point in the season.

He's fairly static. He does make runs but only in a limited area. He needs to do more to get on the ball and offer himself for a pass.
When he does make his runs he gives team mates absolutely no confidence he's going to get to it first should they play it to him. There's a lack of both pace and aggression, as well as the sort of nous Campbell seems to have developed

Then there are things like aerial presence, getting to loose balls first and holding it up

He just does none of these things. Again, I don't want to exaggerate. But he doesn't offer a single thing

Not a brilliant half but thought the ref was to blame for a lot of that earlier on.

Good goal. Clear game plan. Worked.

Robbo. The hug. Absolutely bomb scare I cannot ever trust.

Very lacklustre half in which we didn’t look remotely dangerous. No discernible style of play. We’ve scored a goal because we have some very good individuals and two of them managed to combine. The goal had nothing to do with any “system”. Otherwise, playing it safe with players not prepared to risk playing forwards. A microcosm of our season right there. Glad we’re winning but Christ it’s dull.

I'd be tempted to put Diaz on for Hamer. Let him have a go on his preferred left side. Campbell for Cannon and later Seriki for Clarke.

He's also very weak and is eased off the ball too easily

It's hardly flowing attaking football, but Cannon doesn't seem to shout or be seen to communicate where he wants the ball, surely they coach/ teach this in training?, and get 2 up top
