Well at least we have some targets but with just a few days to go and the fax machine on the blink again lets see if we we can bring a few players in. With the way we conduct our transfers i seriously doubt it. Mr Weir welcome to transfer deadline at BDTBL like nothing you will have experienced before you will leave training at 4pm on Monday with a small squad and come in Tuesday to sod all and maybe a few loans.

Just seen Francois Zoko has left Notts County, could he be worth a punt? Scored a few goals the season before last with Carlisle whilst playing upfront.

He's always seemed dangerous when I've seen him but he's much less prolific than I would have guessed. According to Wikipedia (which normally just lists League starts/goals) he scored 7 in 39 for County and 19 in 88 for Carlisle.

I do recall him scoring the majority of his 19 goals for Carlisle in the 2011/12 season. He moved to Notts and failed to deliver as many.

I'm hearing a rumour from a supposedly "reliable source" that Weir has been given the ok to tie up deals with three new players all permanent deals as well. Now Macca and Higginbotham are gone and apparently a couple are off out on loan as well the money is there so we shall see.

He has tweeted that he has had a good week but he seems to have been in London today.

I would take Callum Wilson 100% but then again even Leon Clarke would be worth a punt at the minute and would probably fit very well into our current would of team.

One thing we need to remember is that we still need a bit of physical presence in there. It's brilliant that we now have the young, pacey, skillful element of the squad that Feb Brandy, Lyle Taylor and Jose Baxter bring however this is still a very physical League and some teams will just kick chunks out of us if we constantly go to beat them on the deck so the physical element is still very important when it comes to winning the knock downs in the final third!

We've definitely brought in the pick of the crop from this league though and it looks like we are poaching a couple more of them. If it doesn't make us incredibly better hopefully it will make them a lot worse

Apparently although Cov are saying "no", they will probably have to sell as they are getting very small crowds at Northampton and are hemorrhaging money.
