Or alternatively Andy Giddings tweet at 10.26 a.m this morning was a more accurate reflection of the situation in that they were considering it but no final decision had been made.
Oh.Unsurprisingly The Star comes up with its own interpration and people wonder why no one buys it.
It's in the name, 'furlough'. Sheffield United are not paying their staff in full and they should be punished!
I am a successful business woman and I treat my staff properly.
Furlough wasn't invented for the Corona virus. It just means mandatory time off, it doesn't indicate pay, which can be between nowt and full pay.
Companies/entities can furlough employees whenever they like, have done before this shitfest and will do post shitfest.
Please go away. You are not even mildly amusing.Furlough is the title of the government scheme, invented by Boris Johnson.
I am a successful business woman and I am educated on things like this.
But obviously not educated on how to spell businesswoman.I am a successful business woman and I am educated on things like this.

Because I'm bored of your cheese, obviously.Your name is Cheesebored however it is spelt 'board'. Do not lecture me on my spelling when you can not get your name right!
I am a busy woman and I do not have time for such pettiness.

You are a fucking dimwit. Stop conflating “furlough” and the government scheme. As others have said, furlough is standing people down because there is no work. How they get paid is a separate issue.
Oh, and whoever is running with this “comedy” account, I hope you wank yourself into oblivion gloating in your “genius”.
Well you're going straight to the tigers.
I love this account. Rock on Carole Baskin
But something that’s never been used or considered hereNo that's the government's job retention scheme.
Furlough has always been a thing.
That’s political bollocksPaying them 100% of their wage. Not using the government scheme. Encouraging staff to volunteer for things like NHS and things they can do in their community.
I think its a pretty decent effort to be fair
It wasn’t invented by Boris Johnson you successful business person who knows about thisFurlough is the title of the government scheme, invented by Boris Johnson.

That’s standard practice with every furloughed roleJust been watching the 6am Beeb news this morning, we are paying furloughed staff their full wage and not taking the govt scheme, the club are also allowing those staff who are furloughed to volunteer to help NHS...etc.

Which bit? It wouldn't be a bad thing for someone with genuine wit to create a parody account and jump in with a few wise cracks every now and again, or someone who could use parody to stimulate debate, or play devil's advocate. Or anything like that. But that would take intelligence, wit, restraint, thought.Oh come on, it was slightly amusing.
Even that’s no guarantee. I have, and I don’t!Do you need to have watched this Netflix thing to find it funny?
Completely agree with the article been saying the same for weeks. It's easy to demonise footballers because they are in the public eye, hated by many for their massive wage, and working class.A worthwhile take by David Conn.

Furlough furore over Premier League clubs ignores aim of protecting jobs | David Conn
The scheme is there to be used, as the chancellor has said, so why have Tory MPs attacked clubs?www.theguardian.com
But I still think there’s a moral imperative on organisations with wildly top heavy salary structures (and access to cash) to find a different way.
I haven’t seen it yet, and but I get the alias from the current memes and twitter comments.Do you need to have watched this Netflix thing to find it funny?
