Pigs potentially three points off playoffs if they beat us!

Wednesday were always going to win some of the games from this run they've had, because they've played all the bottom 3 and a few more around and then Swansea at home, who are in poor form right now. Brentford last night was a decent win, but Brentforf do so much better at home than away and the defending from Brentford last night was amateur stuff. I think Forest are the team to watch for the top 6. They are a strong side and have a manager and assistant that their fans love which helps.

Also Preston look like a team that could make it too on current form and I wouldn't rule out Derby coming back. I wouldn't mind Wednesday doing us a favour though v Leeds and Norwich! They've already took two off Leeds with a draw and they took two off West Brom but I can't see them winning enough games like this to get in the top 6. They are likely to be 8 or 9 points off the play offs come Monday night.

Preston always finish strong

It could happen, if...

Derby fail to beat Forest tomorrow
Pigs beat Brentford Tuesday
Bristol City lose to Birmingham Tuesday
Bristol City lose to Preston Saturday
Derby fail to beat Villa Saturday

That's a lot of ifs

And if my auntie had a dick she'd be my uncle.

That’s the biggest ‘IF’ since commissioner Gordon accidentally projected a Rudyard Kipling poem into the Gotham City night sky instead of the Bat Signal.

Now that's paranoia in its purest form .Relax ,enjoy the ride these are glory days .

Well, that’s 3 out of those 5 results in the bag.

Football gods limbering up?

Yep. They’re just deciding whether we lose over two legs to Boro and then see the pigs beat them in the final or if it’s just a straight 4-0 twatting at Wembley by them lot.

In hindsight be much more fun if Wednesday get 6th place on the last day then lose on penalties to Boro and forestieri missing the vital penalty

We can show the same levels of sympathy they afford us

Ah, but Wednesday know what a poisoned chalice getting to the PL would be. That's why 40,000 travelled to Wembley on 28th May 2016 (same number as Oxford took to the Johnstone's Paint Final on 3/4/2016 BTW), hoping they'd lose?

They’ll all be “ billy big bollocks” now they’ve won a couple.....So they will be coming out to win it............Easy prey for the marauding Blades

Don't worry blades we will BEAT them and hopefully shut there snouts up for a while. UTB.

Don’t come on here with your bullish attitude Bill, you’ll get shouted down by the nervous brigade who try and tell you you’re not allowed to think that we’ll hammer the cunts. :)

Well if we’re generalising, it’s usually the bullish ones that expect us to hammer everyone that are the first to blame Wilder when we lose a game or start digging out some player they were wanking about the week before.

And there it is. Written conformation that 0-0 can actually be a win. 20190228_123940.jpg

Wish I had a few quid on this!!

There is such a large middle that over 3/4 of the league could be in the play-offs.

We really need to avoid it. A big team having a bad season who go on a run could easily get in (Villa, Stoke, Swansea, Forest)

If we end up facing Wednesday in the playoffs I'm putting myself into a drug-induced coma.

If the options were to play them in the play-off finals or both lose in the semis, I'd take the latter.

Have you seen their fixtures in April? No way are they getting a play off place.

I'm not sure fixture lists are the best predictor. What looks like a hard or easy run-in can soon change.

We'll see. It's probably a bridge too far for them but they aren't out of it yet.

They’re not out of it. But they’re not making it.

Why the chuff are we even talking about the Pig’s scramble for the play-offs right now? We’ve got bigger fish to fry haven’t we?

We could cross that hurdle when we came to it IF need be. Meanwhile can we stop buying into the Pork’s delusions and move this F’in thread to where it belongs...’Other Football....’?

And if my auntie had a dick she'd be my uncle.

1) Your auntie is 80% your uncle
2) The footballing gods are now definitely watching the posts on here. Be careful

Derby fail to beat Forest tomorrow CORRECT 1-0 Forest
Pigs beat Brentford Tuesday CORRECT 2-0
Bristol City lose to Birmingham Tuesday CORRECT 1-2
Bristol City lose to Preston Saturday CLOSE 1-1
Derby fail to beat Villa Saturday CORRECT 4-0 Villa

To be fair, that's a good set of results for both SUFC and SWFC.

All set for tomorrow.

Having played the same number of games as Boro and Bristol they are still 7pts off a play off spot more chance of me winning the euromillions than them getting in the play off's a top half finish is the best they can hope for.

Stoke? Really? Ten points off 6th place having played an extra game and 9 clubs closer to the playoffs than them? They have been really, really shit this season.

Do agree however that that 6th place is up for grabs from one of the chasing pack. Just not Stoke. Or Wednesday.

They've been garbage but the point I was trying to make is that any club who can put a run together can get in the play-offs. Stoke have the players and relatively easy fixtures. All the clubs above them will take points off each other.

They're 250-1 to go up. I've a horrible feeling this post is going to come back to haunt me!

Anyway back to United....

Could there be any better day in the reasonable future of a Blade than to be promoted into a league securing the future of SUFC with £200 million by beating SWFC at Wembley ? Man up, trust in wilder and the team - this is the stuff of dreams.

They are now actually three points off the play-offs (having played a game more than the three teams above them). If they got in the Play Offs I'd dread finishing 3rd. Wouldn't fancy Brentford either.
