Some years ago, when I only read this forum, and didn't post, I used to write up a match report, for lads who could no longer attend games because of ill health, and post it on "Sheffield Forum". I did it because our games were not always on the radio, live, and these lads (blokes, old men) were literally on life support, I don't think any of them are left with us now, but I know that they were grateful. I cannot believe that a club would deny elderly, disabled, dying football fans the chance to at least listen to a game of football?
Many of you know (on here) know that it was my Grandad who instilled a love of the Blades in me, took me to my first matches as a kid, reserve games at first, get used to a crowd, get used to the noise, etc. Every time I walk into BDTBL I think of him. The old lad died aged 91, a "good innings" in anyone's book, but in his final years, it was the radio, and me going to see him, that kept him updated in his beloved Sheffield United.
I don't want to get into this particular argument, but does anyone honestly think that Kevin McCabe would pull such a stunt?
I don't think McCabe would pull such a stunt but the Prince ...... well that's another matter.
