Nor would I, dont want the coverage then we’ll do the team news and that’s it. iPork will do the rest. I don’t understand some of the sentiment from Blades, they were all lauding it 2 years ago when they were spending and we had Adkins.Feck them. If I was bbc I wouldn’t cover them at all
I find it funny but at the same time feel sad for those who for whatever reason cannot get to games and use the BBC as the way to still listen to the action. I know I’d be pissed off it we had the same issues and I wouldn’t pay £6 or whatever it is to listen to Blades Player.
If United did the same you’d lap it up.cant believe some actually back the club
we are giving up a regular income to provide our fans with free away coverage
and instead at 5 pound a game offer them a commentary so only £115 a year for fans to fork out whereas blades wont pay a penny
No, and to be fair, as proven by the results 91 / 92 chairmen wouldn’t - it will be interesting to see how many Pigs take up a subscription though, I can see that figure changing if it’s a relative success. Some years ago, when I only read this forum, and didn't post, I used to write up a match report, for lads who could no longer attend games because of ill health, and post it on "Sheffield Forum". I did it because our games were not always on the radio, live, and these lads (blokes, old men) were literally on life support, I don't think any of them are left with us now, but I know that they were grateful. I cannot believe that a club would deny elderly, disabled, dying football fans the chance to at least listen to a game of football?
Many of you know (on here) know that it was my Grandad who instilled a love of the Blades in me, took me to my first matches as a kid, reserve games at first, get used to a crowd, get used to the noise, etc. Every time I walk into BDTBL I think of him. The old lad died aged 91, a "good innings" in anyone's book, but in his final years, it was the radio, and me going to see him, that kept him updated in his beloved Sheffield United.
I don't want to get into this particular argument, but does anyone honestly think that Kevin McCabe would pull such a stunt?

being in spain listening to radio sheffield on bbc iplayer using a false ip keeps me sane and is freeIf United did the same you’d lap it up.
Hahaha!! It was so well delivered...Calmly and precisely.Think he said he was from SwintonLowering the tone.................fuck off you piggy basterds....and up the Blades.
As said by a late caller on RS.
I've never known them show one iota of sympathy for any of our troubles.
Chansiri is a great man and I hope he fucks them into poverty. No 'solidarity with fellow football supporters' from me, not in their case.
I hope they have to watch their club die, and I hope it hurts them the entire time it's happening.
Sheffield Is Red.
Or petrol?????Just having a row with a cunt now who said “good. Fuck the bbc. Would you take a 10% cut at work?”
Well, if the other option was 10% or absolutely fuck all then yeah I would. I hate the bastard. I’d feel sorry for them if it wasn’t for pricks like him on his high horse. I know where the cunt lives so might have to pop round with some dog shit.
It's a really sad state of affairs to see a football club treat their fans like this.
Whilst it's pleasant to hear less of the usual chirping, I have a fair few Wednesday friends and it's like the stuffing has been knocked out of them. I've never seen them with so little enthusiasm for the start of a season. It's not the lack of signings (although that plays a part), it's the knowledge of how their own club is treating them. It's really sad to see.
As for the radio coverage, there are lots of football fans who can't go to games through mobility issues, disabilities, work or simply through lack of money. We're a working-class city, and to take that away from them is absolutely shocking.
Bet this made them feel a lot better...
This.
They were happy to laugh and gloat as we fell into L1. They were even happier when we lost in the playoffs in that league. They have a history of not giving a shit about us in any way, shape or form, and I feel no shame in reciprocating that now. Let them all be unable to listen to their matches on the radio. Even better, ban their fans from the phone-ins on a saturday afternoon. Let that club stagnate and rot into nothingness without any public outlet for their fans.
"but some of their fans can't get to matches etc"
Fine. Do you think Mick the rawmarsh pig (or most of them) would give a fuck about elderly/ill Blades not being able to get to matches? No he/they would not.
I stop just short of wanting them to cease to exist. Personally I'd rather see them relegated again and again, in admin season after season, and reduced to playing in front of 462 people in hillsborough park on sunday mornings. That would be far more satisfactory, as then we could always laugh and laugh and laugh at them.
Chansiri is doing an outstanding job. Long may it continue.
F. T. P. Always.
Can’t beat the Swinton ladsHahaha!! It was so well delivered...Calmly and precisely.Think he said he was from Swinton
"Up the Blades and Fuck Off you piggy bastards!"
Whoever you were I salute you!
I'm not equating one with the other, I'm equating the reaction of the respective fanbases. I doubt that a single pig would have had any sympathy for any of our on (or off) field issues over the years, or the effect that those issues had on any of our fans. Therefore, I feel no guilt whatsoever in laughing my bollocks off at the situation they now find themselves in.Are you seriously equating the on-the-field troubles we faced (fully acceptable for all mockery, as the equivalent was for them when they dropped to L1) with the off-the-field decision-making from an owner seemingly intent on fleecing their fans for as much as possible? If Wednesday’s shit football send them back to Rochdale in a year’s time, I’ll find that hilarious. This is different, and will have a very real impact on some supporters for whom the alternative won’t be practical.
If they're that desperate, they'll subscribe to radio chansiripig. According to them, they're all loyal to a fault, and will do whatever it takes to follow the massive. Let's see them prove it.
