Name 1 or 2 players for each position to either replace or challenge for the spot.

It's difficult without being unrealistic but, here goes...

Option 1

Ramsdale
Rodon - Egan - O'Connell
Cash - Chalobah - Berge - Fleck - Henry

Krul
Bielek - Egan - O'Connell
Bogle - Swift - Berge - Fleck - Da Silva
Watkins - Diedhou

That's made up of just Championship players mainly so should be realistic. A couple of Brentford players would be based on them not coming up.

Egan, JOC, Berge and Fleck are pivotal i think so the squad should be built around them.

Other great signings although unrealistic:

Kyle Walker (Basham)
Mitrovic (McBurnie)
Sessegnon (Stevens) - maybe a season loan?!

The rcb role, Godfrey but I think Norwich would want to much. Fosu mensah if he's back fit. Adaribayo if man City sign a centre back like koulibaly.

This purely based off of links we have had over the last 7 months. Anything like this next season and very exciting times indeed. I feel the starting 11 itself only needs a couple players to make a difference, most of our business this summer will be in strengthening the squad as a whole. Attacking wise could pick any combo depending on the opposition but with Mousset and a star like Dennis being able to counter attack well against top teams.

I’ll go through the ones I think we need as second choice / push first team. RCB would be a big spend as no point getting a bench for Basham Whos 32. RWB is just cover so cheap. LCM is in case Fleck Injured. RCM to replace Lunny St ££££

Shows with my limited knowledge there are good players out there if you have the funds.

If we signed these players I think we could comfortably have enough possession to change the formation when required and be comfortable in it, so this is what I'd like to see if we're being realistic:

Berge / Norwood (as first choice RCM if we play 5-3-2)

8 new players, that's par for the course for a summer depth builder imo.
That's providing no one on my list leaves...
Henderson will not be back imo.

Regarding my choices of signing and justification:
Ramdale - we've been in contact. Well, we were pre lockdown. Used to be here, knows the club, we like him... no brainer.
Krul - twat to play against and normally that means they're good. Free.
Clyne - free, surely he's not completely gone, meant to have been good for Bournemouth last season on loan
Godfrey - probably cost decent money but young, English and impressive
Wolfenden - been linked, decent cover across the backline and potential bargain
Wallace - this seasons Freeman, but hopefully with a bit more gametime... certainly would suit our system
Cantwell - thought this might be pie in the sky until yesterday but would be an unreal signing. Also would allow us to change formations regularly with a proven PL quality number 10 on the books
Grant - wouldn't be cheap but he was the one shining light of Huddersfields relegation. Been good this season too in a poor side. They'd cash in given the chance.

Price? Circa £40/50 mil for the lot I'd say. You've got enough freebies in there to make it work.
With Wilder's negotiations, probably about £3mil for the lot.

Probably gonna get some pelters for this but I'd drop Baldock to the bench for Max Aarons in a heartbeat.
