Being 'lined up' as our new boss according to the Sun and Mirror.

No ta.

Stick with Morgan if, as I'd expect, this is the pool we're fishing in.

I have no idea if he'll be any good. Just like 99% of all managers.

I'm glad I'm not picking the manager#

No idea how Morgs will turn out but he would be given more of a chance than some by the fans.
As previously stated I think Unsworth is very much the key man. A thinker and has the cedibility as a player that old pro's like Kitson have to look up to.

If the Morgan & Unsworth partnership ensures that every player plays every game with the same commitment, determination and desire as they showed on Saturday, we would walk this league and more than hold our own in the Championship.

That being the case, they'd get my vote over anyone else currently aboard the Football Manager Merry Go Round. I love to see the players play like they would die for the club, it's an attribute rarely seen today and one that I believe would take us further up the football ladder than some might think.

It's fine when things are going well and the players buy into it but as the likes of Roy Keane have shown, it doesn't always end well. Unfortunately, footballers are a different breed today.

I agree, in reality maintaining the energy and commitment levels of Saturday is the most difficult part. But if they could, the very point you are alluding to about modern day footballers, is the reason I believe it would bring success, particularly in this era, where if your team doesn't have access to infinite finances any player with a glimmer of talent is sold to a team who does.

We had commitment under Blackwell but when commitment fails to get results it becomes the infamous hoof ball.

But then again, how can the same set of players go from the level of performance last Tuesday to Saturday. That just points to players' attitudes and it can't be as simple as the way the manager motivates them. The 'new manager syndrome' always seems to have that affect though and whether it lasts another 4 games and whether Morgs and Unsy could do it for a season is another matter.

Agree.
It will be interesting to see the energy levels of the players for Tuesday.

Blackwell played with one striker up front for lots of home games. There's really much more to it than hoofball V football.

How would you categorise last season's football? How would you categories this season's football? How would you categorise Wilson as a manager?

Don't some managers have agents these days ?

Lots more placing of stories in the press to come before United get round to the recruitment process.

Haven't seen anyone mentioned so far that I'm interested in seeing at the Lane.

We need to see where Morgs and his staff get us first.

Parkinson was nailed on last time until Wilson put himself forward ,cost me a few bob :(

Every time we have a manager vacancy the same names always crop up, personally i would like to see Steve Davis from crewe, he has experience with crewe of bringing in young players and blending them into the first team (which we are trying to do at the lane) and from the times i have seen crewe this season they played good attacking football, after watching the 'sh*te' this season that would be a breathe of fresh air, just a name to throw out there really.........

I'd be delighted if we got him and have said so numerous times. McCabe spoke about wanting the Academy used more than it is, surely Davis is the guy who would implement that given his experience at Crewe?!

In my honest opinion,no matter if we go up or not,i think morgs will be at the helm whatever the outcome.
He`ll be cheap,and do as he`s told.
Right up mcabes alley.
