People who think we’ll stay up

I’d ask the same question of those who think we’ll go down. What’s that based on?

I think we’ll stay up as our squad is better than the one that went down, plus there’s a few teams again who will struggle next year, Everton, Luton, Forest, Bournemouth, Wolves etc.

We’re not there to make up the numbers, we’re a good side.
PL is a better league than it was
Team is nowhere near as settled and needs a lot more additions
We still attack in a very similar way a lot of the time. PL teams make it much harder to get WBs forward.
We are going to have to rely on loans to play and really give a shit
We haven't got Dean Henderson

I’m happy enough how we’re going about our business. Yeah we’re favourites to go back down but I’d much rather spend 20 million strengthening with young hopefuls than overspending and risking our future. Fans need to understand and accept where we are as a club. Also I cannot accept any criticism of Hecky and his staff. No one is perfect and gets it right all the time but Hecky pretty much nailed it all last season. Imagine where we’d have been had we not gone up ? Time to get behind the club and enjoy the season ⚔️

If the opposition mark Ndiaye out of the game or mark our midfield sitter/dictator out of the game we are rendered useless.

Can I just ask what you’re basing that on other than pure blind faith?

I’m not generally the type to admit defeat before a ball has been kicked in anger but fuck me we are making it difficult to think any other way.

So far we’ve resigned 2 players we shouldn’t have who would struggle to get minutes at most championship clubs and have given a new contract to what should be nothing more than a squad player.

We are linked with random players from Scandinavia for pittance and just seem in a rather large pickle generally. Keep seeing rumours about Ndiaye being off which doesn’t help.
Generally it’s not too promising and not too positive, we just seem to be looking at taking punts rather than making any meaningful attempt to stay up.

And on the pitch if this side isn’t improved upon it will be a very bad showing as our form vs our peers post-Christmas showed. We lost every game we played against the teams around us. Management have to hold their hands up to that too and be better as we know.

I’m wanting to have some faith instilled in me from somewhere, so please feel free to hit me with both barrels.
Existing quality players plus new players coming in this month.

We've lost out [thanks to the 'prince']on Tom Davies. Ogbene & Mads Anderson who all came in and were refused as being too expensive by that twat

Tbh I like a good grumble but I think that if the bottom half is as weak as last season we have a shout. Bournemouth, Luton, Burnley and us scrapping it out. Forest were crap for large parts of the season, with Wolves and Everton in deep waters too. Fulham are my dark horse pick to struggle. Hopefully we'll get some decent signings in loan or permanent.
Forest signed players, we're selling them

This

For clarity your calling us as down with 52 days of the transfer window to go?

For the record our recent signings….
Anel - 6 July
Doyle - 4 july
Mcatee - 4 aug
Khadra - 26 july

MGW - 31 aug
Houriane - 30 aug

Brewster - 2 oct
Rammers - 19 aug
Wes - 27 july

As we can see the vast majority of our summer signings happen later as the process filters down

if we are still in this state come mid Aug then I will share your pessimism

Till then gi thi head a wobble and lighten up you miserable fucker😂😂
Good that you've described McAtee, Doyle, MGW etc etc as signings. All he's saying is we're not in a healthy state as a club, in possibly the strongest league in the world. That's it. McAtee is possibly coming back on loan but signings wise we're behind the clubs we should be ahead of, and that's making Hecky's job harder by the day

There’s No such thing as a realist.Never has been, never will be.
Everyones view is coloured by experiences or lack of them which are specific to that individual.Maybe Mr Spock comes close being only half human
but he’s in good company on ere.
Did all the professed realists predict we’d finish 9th in the prem?……ofcourse not.
You can be an optimist one minute and a pessimist the next or even hold both views simultaneously
but you’ll never be a realist.
I feel that's deep as whale shit. Realism, as you well know, is a catch all expression for someone who sees things as neither a negative or positive but something that plays out as neither. To deny that is to deny thought patterns. Realism is not knowing, or predicting, that 9th place would have happened. The opposite of realism is Blades predicting that we would have won the Premier League or got relegated. I'm not sure where in the ground you geniuses or non-realists predicted that we'd finish that year, but it wasn't 9th.

I am disappointed with your reasoning. Before any new arrivals, you have given in to the bookies, and you presume we will be relegated?
Even if we start the season with what’s left of the promotion winning squad, we are unlikely to be relegated. Great management, plus a well drilled and gritty squad will do just fine.

I may seem to have the polar opposite to you but my feelings are based on the current squad balance, plus any incomings, and our youth prospects waiting to impress.

We are unlikely to qualify for Euro competitions, but equally unlikely to go down. We are a development club with greater potential than you seem to think. We are unlikely to sign proven EPL stars, but we are destined for growth and mid table obscurity. The team will be able to establish its presence in the EPL.

It does not matter that most contracts expire in 12 months. That is next summers problem and we have this widow and a few others to rectify that. This season is irrelevant for contracts expiring in 12 months time.

I accept that supporters have different expectations, and some are pessimistic, but I disagree with your assumptions of doom and gloom. :)

£20m now apparently bollocks. 🙄🙄

Let’s face it, we’re absolutely fucked with this budget. 😅

Meanwhile in the real world of trying to stay up…

Forest fan just clocked my Utd training top through drive thru window, he said "what do you think of Sheffield Uniteds chances of stopping up?!".I said "not looking good". He said "20 million is a ridiculous budget" I said "we like a challenge". We both laughed and I got the fuck out of there with my latte.
