That's all true and I wouldn't try and change him but he also loses possession in dangerous positions when it looks harder to turn the ball over than just play a simple pass
I find it infuriating but like I say I wouldn't try and change him
I do question his fitness levels though, if he ever decides to squeeze every last drop out of his potential then he will need to. Work on this but what a player he could be
Yes, there's been some suicide balls across the midfield which have been intercepted

Am I the only one who thinks he was poor today ? He should have scored in the first half at a crucial time and again in the second half when his fluffed effort lead to their equaliser.
Yes he does have qualities, but overall he is a weak link in our midfield.

Yeah, can't believe he didn't score that tap-in from outside the box

I thought Sydie Peck had a really good game against decent opposition.
Moved it on well, got a foot in when it was needed and joined in attacks.

Would love to know the XG on his chance on the edge of the area. Probably about 0.05.
"Should have scored."

Do you need attention? Want a hug? You ok Hun?

Can't believe a grown up with sound mind, would look at that performance today and decide calling out Peck was the right thing to do?!?!

Honestly, there are some proper whoppers round these parts

Probably not the only one but you should be alone- I thought he had a decent game, energy from start to finish- offered himself throughout. Yes could have done better with his good chance- but overall 7/10 -

Agree....he's slightly a weak link in the side. My issue is that he gives the ball away too cheaply, often because he's trying a difficult pass instead of being more like Arblaster showing maturity, using his brain keeping it simple.

However he's still young and learning.
Also even when he makes mistakes or is having a poor game, his attitude is great because he never hides. Also always gets stuck in, gives 100% effort and is obviously quite confident because he still tries fairly difficult passes. Overall he's been OK, no issue with him starting.

Thought he was quite tidy but it can’t go unnoticed his error led to the equaliser, which was disappointing
So he lost the ball on the edge of the opposition box = his fault now? 😆 No blame attached to Seriki getting nutmegged or Burrows getting absolutely skinned? I'm not saying he's had his best match either, but to scapegoat Peck is ridiculous.

Hamer tries the out of the ordinary which means he'll give it away a lot.
Most players don't try the difficult threaded through ball when a simple 5 yard pass is on. But some players do, and thank god for Hamer.

We tend to go sideways and backwards a lot, keeping possession but not going anywhere, and we struggle to get in behind an organised defence, so we have to put up with Hamer's pass not working out 9 times out of 10, but at least he has the vision to see something and try it.

Seriously???

Erm what?

He lost the ball and from that possession they went to score?

Why are people deliberately belligerent online? I’m not scapegoating him I’m stating a fact?

Ffs

Yeah, sorry, didn't mean you were scapegoating him, but the OP definitely does. Edit: and obviously not the OP, but the thread-reviver 😆

Given his age and first team experience b4 this season he is doing remarkably well. He's now a mainstay in the midfield of a top of the table side regularly playing the full 90 mins or most of the match.

Of course he makes mistakes, but who doesn't , but he never hides, his work rate is phenomenal and he gets stuck in.

He's already a top championship player and will only get better

I thought he was ok, I think his lack of pace hurts him at times. Gets caught on the break pretty easily when the opposition has pace. He’s getting better though & used to playing week in week out.

when should he have scored? That chance from 20yards out?

Peck is a young lad who, if we'd not had injuries and had money would likely have been out on loan in league 1 until Christmas (like Arblaster).

I think he was better than Souza today but he's suspect at times. Needs too long on the ball. Not strong enough. Not great at tracking runs.

He's going to make mistakes. He's going to be inconsistent.

But he's doing incredibly well, as is Seriki, One, Brooks etc considering.
