He was good, a few misplaced passes early on but he doesn’t look out of place in the first team. Big shoes to fill coming in for blaster but don’t think anyone could have expected any more.

Excellent performance, caught in possession a couple of times, but always available, gets stuck in and generally makes good use of the ball. The fact the rest of the team are happy to give him the ball says a lot. Would have capped it off he could have scored in the dying seconds. 8 out of 10 for me.

It’s an unforgiving position for a kid to play, and he was excellent. One great pass to put Moore in first half. Lots to like.

I hope Del Geary was at the game and enjoys his beer tonight.

First half hour hour he looked nervous after that he played very well especially second half.. shame the Derby keeper made his fourth worldy of the game in the last minute to deny him a goal.

You say unsurprising, which I get, but it’s a serious ask for any kid to come out of the U21s (with just few men’s games at Oldham), and look comfortable at this level.

We’ve had loads of academy lads go on to have lower league careers, but the odds of producing multiple players of this standard at once…. It’s magnificent.

Not as fluidly mobile as Blaster, but I put that down to having to watch out for Vinny and not quite knowing what to expect from him. Grew into the game and he’s another youngster that is in the squad on merit and doesn’t need a loan.

He’s an excellent footballer and surprisingly athletic for someone with a fairly ‘gangly’ appearance. Definitely one to watch.

Was great to see 3 academy lads on the pitch for 20 mins today. Brooks and Seriki were good when they came on as well.

My thinking is that SPs pathway is currently blocked by 2 deeper lying midfielders that do, barring injury or suspension, pick themselves.

So it’s a bit of a waste.

Vini be suspended soon enough so let’s pray Blaster isn’t out through injury for too long !!

I think this was his first league start ? Loved how smart he was. Whenever Vini broke forward or Anel or Souttar, it was Peck who filled the space behind them, like Norwood used to do so well. Except unlike Norwood, Peck can get his shoulder into a player running at him. Snuffed out so many counter attacks.

He’s good, but miles off Souza. Souza walks in to every team in this league and would be a star player. Peck is miles away from that.

Got caught on the ball a couple of times early on, then rushed it a few times after that, but I thought he got better and better as the game went on. When a youth steps into the first team like that you've got to allow for a few nerves, and he certainly didn't look out of place overall.
