It's bizarre, and at the same time perfectly normal from this forum.
Had a aex change and became a nursery school teacher on a Scottish island
I can’t keep up with it! 10 pages ago bastard Bamford was the worst signing ever, now Wilder is Beelzebub for not giving him a three year deal.
I can’t see where anyone has said that. Does it perhaps only exist in your head?now Wilder is Beelzebub for not giving him a three year deal.
He was a risk, he has a poor recent injury and goal scoring record, nobody else wanted him, we signed him. The deal suited both us and him. The fact is we were the only club willing to pay him up until January, he knows that and we know that, so yes if he has any sense of loyalty he will sign a new deal.Disagree. He's performed beyond expectation and more than repaid the "faith" we showed in him. If we wanted him until the end of the season then we should have offered him that contract in the first place. Clearly we wanted a cheap way out if it didn't come off.
But what evidence is there to suggest we should have believed in him? He has barely played in years and his goal scoring record is poor recently. Show me the evidenceIf he’s been as good for him as he has for us, why does he still owe us?
I really don’t understand why loyalty is judged by some fans in such an unbalanced fashion. We didn’t offer him a longer contract so in many ways we didn’t believe in him so why now he’s done as much, if not more than was asked, does he owe us?
It seems like we’re in a position of our own making and hopefully we find a path of mutual gratification.
Our initial lack of conviction is going to cost us though, but I would suspect but thats the risk isn’t it? We’ve certainly been on the end of offer longer deals that never pay off.
I can’t see where anyone has said that. Does it perhaps only exist in your head?
Alternatively, you make things up.Admittedly the tantrums of my toddler and those on here do merge into one.
His style of play and attributes have always been the same as has his technical proficiency. But what evidence is there to suggest we should have believed in him? He has barely played in years and his goal scoring record is poor recently. Show me the evidence

He's rumoured to have had strong interest from mls clubs which he was interested before moving to usThere's not been any rumours of a nice elsewhere though has there or have I got that wrong?
Hi Booker. i reckon his love-in with Wilder will be a big factor in him staying. Not sure about the play-offs though. Ithink our inconsistency will do us up like a kipper.I think he'll stay till the end of the season because he's said how the location near Leeds is a major bonus. I'm not so sure he'll want to stay next season like Rideweld has as an option but if we can keep him till the end of the season then if we do well then he might stay longer. Probably have to go up mind but I'm still if the belief well push play offs this season.
I'm still confident of a play off push! You can hold me to that Derf!Hi Booker. i reckon his love-in with Wilder will be a big factor in him staying. Not sure about the play-offs though. Ithink our inconsistency will do us up like a kipper.
You are entitled to your own opinion but I disagreeHis style of play and attributes have always been the same as has his technical proficiency.
We didn’t believe in him to give a 2-3 year deal out, which is perfectly fine but he doesn’t then owe us a thing. 5 goals in 8 suggest he’s more than delivered his end of any deal so why does he owe us?
If we want to keep him, now we have to pay his market value which is higher than it was.
Thanks, it still sounds very entitled to me and not at alll fair and consistent to both parties, but as you say opinion. You are entitled to your own opinion but I disagree
A few on here said it but the best was Daz on RS who said his 2 mates were going to return their season tickets and never return if we signed him !!!I can’t see where anyone has said that. Does it perhaps only exist in your head?

Rumour on my sons WhatsApp group saying same, 2 year deal. Would be good if true.I've heard on the grape vine he jas signed a 2 year contract.
I hope so, fingers crossedRumour on my sons WhatsApp group saying same, 2 year deal. Would be good if true.
A few have criticised Ings and personally I fail to understand out of all the strikers why he is pointed out. He scored against Norwich, he has had 2 ruled out for offside by finest of margins, he is only here until the end of the season with the option to extend. He is still only 33, an ex-England striker and a model professional that the youngsters can be learning off. He is rumoured to be on around £30,000 a week if you can trust google which for a striker of his pedigree is about right, with his injury record, Bamford was on £70,000 in is 2nd contract at Leeds with his injury problems rising from £35,000. But to also put it into perspective, Ings has arrived on a free not costing £8mill plus like Cannon, plus his weekly wage of £25,000 a week. We knew on signing Ings similar to Mee we are getting players that are towards the end of their playing careers however Ings will score a few more and setup a few too. We have plenty of spare change with the loans of Ogbene, Godfrey and Barry going back. Ben Godfrey was on £75,000 a week not sure if we were paying full wack but that ain’t value for money, Barry’s Villa contract is £35,000 a week and Ogbene was another £25,000 presuming we are paying the full feethink it depends on what salary he is after if we can afford him we should go all out to get him on a longer deal it looks like hes enjoying his football here and working with wilder get rid of ings to free some capital up its not working for him with us
