This guy is a top top sorce.

Sheffield United has targeted Panagiōtīs Retsos , the former Olympiacos Greek defender now owned by Bayer Leverkusen . The negotiation proceeds: the 1998 player is getting closer.

This madness has all got to stop, I can't fap anymore!

Just been on Sky Sports News that a reporter for Sky Italy reckons Retsos is a possibility.

So will this be a permanent then? Because the Zwotsit move is supposed to be a loan- thought we could only bring in 1 foreign loan?

I had a look about this earlier and it seems like as far as foreign loans go you can have quite a few of them. I want to say there used to be unlimited but then Watford started abusing the system and they put a limit in place. Couldn't figure out what the limit was from searching but I think it's more than one.

Ah- all the Italians they had? I guess we’ll soon find out.

4 total loans per team I believe whether that be 2 prem 2 foreign or 1 prem 3 foreign

No mention of us but this says he has recently received a change permit which I guess means they're letting him leave

Just been reading a report from about a week ago in the Greek media linking him to Cagliari - the interesting part is that it mentions the possibility of a permanent deal at the end of the loan. Here's hoping that part of the rumour is true for us as well.

That would explain why someone working at Sky Sports Italy was commenting on a Greek player potentially moving from Germany to England. I’m assuming they’ve been linked for a bit till recently then.

This guy can play centre back, right back and left back.

I went on FIFA and he is rated well on there, potential of 84 I think.

Where will he play? Will Enda's position be under threat? Will this mean we send out Freeman?

I imagine the latter – in Osborn & Robinson we have two players vying for that LWB role, albeit Osborn may be better suited to Fleck’s position.

Changed my mind a bit here.

Jagielka didn't have the best of games the other day and he's 38 this year. There really is no need for him to be relied upon like we have been (always on the bench) given the start we have.

Get this lad in and we have someone who can play all across the back and in midfield.

Probably makes sense for Phil to bow out gracefully and also opens up possible moves for Kieron Freeman or Luke given the versatility.

As fans we judge on the 90 mins a week we see. CW will see him everyday for 2 hours a day on a football field training. Just because players don’t play doesn’t mean he may not be a good option perhaps he is someone we can build to be better than what we have.

We have to try and get better a loan signing with a permanent option (if included) allow us to view a player. It also allows us to see how adding foreign players to our set up impacts our squad.

we are all on a learning curve especially on foreign recruitment. Slowly but steady like we are doing is the way forward.

Had a look at Bayer Leverkusen's squad and line ups. Although he's very versatile he seems well behind in the pecking order. At right back their captain Lars Bender seems to be the first choice with Mitchell Weiser a more attacking alternative. At centre half I think he's at best fourth choice, behind Tah, Sven Bender and Dragovic. At left back he's also behind two left footed specialists in Wendell and Sinkgraven.

He's made three Bundesliga appearances this season:
  • 14/12 Played 24 mins as sub, 0-2 defeat
  • 18/12 Came on at half time due to injury
  • 21/12 Started at right back, went off at half time
He's then been on the bench for their two last games.

So it does seem he's surplus to requirements at the moment.

Retsos seems exactly our kind of signing. Versatile defender who can play in several positions. Hungry with something to prove.

Great temperament and leadership qualities meant he broke a record by becoming the youngest captain of Olympiakos when only 18.
As a 19 year old he had the world at his feet....very highly rated even breaking into the Greece national team .
He was such a hot talent that Bayer Leverkusen paid £17 million for him back in 2017.

His first season he was a regular for them then he suffered a long term injury in training sending him down the packing order and he’s struggled to get back only paying 3 times in the last 18 months. So his career has stalled....he’ll be hungry desperate to get his career back on track.
