We've played as if the pitch is concrete. Bounce, bounce, bounce. Pathetic lack of control and we look nothing like a team at the top

H-T losing 1-0

And to be honest Oxford just about deserve it.
They started with much more effort and intensity throwing loads of high balls into an our box making the defense look uncomfortable.
However we’ve always managed to scramble it away, however they only need a moment of luck
And it came towards the end of the 1st half, another highball pumped into our box, abit of a penalty area scramble and it falls to their player who scores an easy goal from close range. Our defence has been busy but Cooper has had little to do.

Negatives
We started the match so complacent, the players expected to coast to a 0-0 at half time.
We’ve not had much possession and our midfield looks non existent, think Hamer had been really poor but a lot just haven’t played.

Positives
Towards the end of that 1st half Oxford started dropping back defending deep and we were starting to dominate.
Also we have a really strong bench with loads of options, wouldn’t be surprised if Wilder makes changes at half time or very early in the 2nd half.

Expect the 2nd half to be tough where they sit back parking the bus.
We do make it difficult for ourselves and it didn’t need to be like this.

Get a few quickfire goals second half and celebrate wildly in front of the fans. Sorry, VANS.

Will we show character like L&B and come from behind? At this moment a point would be a result. Possibly worst half of footy we’ve played this season

We've had quite a few games like this this season where we waste a whole half feeling the opposition out and the rely on the combination of the last 45 and Lady luck.

We have more than enough quality to beat these so crank it up Blades!

Brewster has created a few chances and got his shot off from been tightly marked hasn't done to bad on the other hand BBD has been totally diabolical hasn't really done anything since coming back to us in my eyes odd flash but looks unfit and not willing to play out on a wing to me

Nope we’ve done this worst half of footy a number of times every time they come forward they look like they will create something

At least we’re showing urgency this 2nd half.

Already had several corners with the ball pinballing around their box. Oxford are sitting back inviting pressure
But it’s always going to be tough when they have so many bodies back.
You’d think it was the last 5 minutes of the match the way we’re pushing plenty of men forward and they’re sitting back.

We've got fuck all in the box, and we're struggling to do much more than lump crosses in

Moore needs to come on

Is it going to be one of those days? We don't look like scoring. Not saying we won't but we've all seen games like this before

Not sure Moore for Campbell is the right call. Hope i can be proved wrong.

Times like that Brewster is so frustrating.

Great lad I know but at times he shows no football brain at all.

All this brought about by a shit, sluggish, half arsed, can't be bothered fucking start to the game

How many more times does Wilder and these clowns have to realise that it is easier to kill a game off after you've started well, than it is to up the tempo when you start slow

Very frustrating.

It’s almost constant United attack now, we keep knocking at the door but not creating anything clear cut.
You sense the only way we’ll score is from a lucky ricochet, an Oxford blunder and a worldy long ranger.

It’s going to be so annoying when Wilder….in his post match interview goes on about the tricky conditions and how we dominated possession.
The truth is…..Oxford are letting us have possession….they’ve declared at 1-0 and now asking us if we can break them down.
