H-T a predictable 0-0.

Pretty shocking how poor the match has been….honestly seems like we’re watching a half decent league 1 match….no where near Championship level.
Both teams playing like they’d rather not loose than win. Oxford have had more of the game but it’s just direct percentage football with no quality.
Our attacks are different, we’re trying to play some quick passing but we’re over passing instead of trying a shot.
STILL NOT A SINGLE SHOT ON TARGET.

However we’ve had easily the best chance of the match, it was a brilliantly worked chance with some quick short passing to feet
….Campbell should have scored but put his shot the wrong side of the post.

Overall Oxford have slightly edged it…been more powerful, more physical and more up for it….every lose ball seems to be falling to their player..
.we’ve looked higher technical quality but quite lethargic…with some really poor basic passing towards the end of that 1st half.

Feels like we’re saving ourselves for the 2nd half…..surely we can’t be this flat…expect Wilder to lay into the players at half time.
The game is there for the taking…the players need a rocket up their arse….come out firing 2nd half and it should be a comfortable 3 points.

Selles is reincarnated. Peck COH and Hamer in the middle. When is someone going to realise they just don't work as a 3. Seven games now and still they start together. Defence is at least keeping a clean sheet. If you don't control the middle you don't control the game. If this is the grinding out of results the manager referred to then we are going nowhere.

This squad needs ripping up and starting again from scratch. It’s been woefully put together, and not just this summer by any means. If the rebuild has to start in L1 so be it, that was the launchpad for the original squads of both Bassett and Wilder.

wasn't it the owners who sold Anel and Souza! On a positive note the defence looks slightly better with Mee in the middle an Tanganga on the right. Midfield is awful Soumare is playing terrible pity Chonga couldn't play. Unless Tom davies can do 45 minutes I don't think we have a solution

Playing Hamer, Peck and Soumare in the right positions might help. Soumare where Vini used to be and Peck and Hamer where they were last season, it'd still be crap but they all look lost in the current shape

He's been awful after a decent first mins, he's now hiding and needs to come off.

We had a decent breakaway a few minutes ago.
Soumari closing in central towards their penalty area with a defender in front of him.

Burrows making an excellent run unmarked sprinting down the left wing….i’m thinking pass to Burrows
But instead Soumari shoots from 25 yards with no power, no conviction and no direction…as it goes way over the bar.
That was basic stuff…..really poor decision making and a really poor effort.

What two strikers though? We've only got Cannon and Oné, who look way off the standard we need.

The midfield is clearly an issue as is playing Campbell up top on his own, yet we keep picking the same players and formations over and over hoping something will change!

One up top isnt the answer, Ohare certainly isnt the answer, Peck in current position and form isnt the answer!
